Hello everyone! We are getting a bunch of people to go to Tolono - I'm about an hour away. My sister Jackie's husband, Guido plays for the Brat Pack (local 80's band) and he and a couple of the other members of the Brat Pack are supposed to open for Marty. Jackie brought me some flyers yesterday to post. I'm sooooo excited!!!!!!!! [/IMG] We will see you there! - Jami www.myspace.com/rockstar314
Nice to meet you here on the board Jami I wish I could make the event, but I can't. Best wishes to Guido and Brat Pack on opening for Marty. Have fun... ~Steph

Hi Stefani! Sounds good. Can you tell us a little about the venue? I've roped at least 1 friend into going (this will be her 1st Marty experience) since Champaign is her old stomping ground. I'm working on a couple more friends and hoping we can get enough girls together to stay at a sweet hotel and really enjoy ourselves. Anyone else going to be staying in Champaign/Urbana? I think I remember 1 person saying the Best Western. Perhaps some of us could get together for dinner before the show and talk about all thing (including Marty). I am striving to have the scrapbook of the summer tour done and ready to give to Marty after the show...FINALLY!

Dinner would be great but unfortunately I have to work that day and by the time we get there, check in and get ready I don't think we will have time. Hope to meet you at the show though!

This is a post I got from Radmaker's myspace on 11/5:
The phones have been blowin' up about this show...wow! I didn't know that so many (mainly the ladies) knew about Marty. But then again, I don't pretend to have my finger on the pulse of what is happening:) So yeah, Rock Star INXS runner up, singer of Lovehammers and now singer of L.A. Guns Marty Casey will be here on the Rad's stage this Friday. Opening the show will be the Mike Bray Trio featuring Tom & Guido from the Brat Pack and of coarse Mike Bray who is formerly from Chambana but now resides in LA...Mike Ingram will also be performing a short set to open the night.
Only $5 to get in...get here early!
9pm show time
---------------------------------------------------- Radmaker's phone #217-485-3531 (in case you need directions or questions) ---------------------------------------------------- I'm so excited about tonight - it's been so long since I've seen Marty (2006 HJ)!!!!!!!!!
Would love to meet some of you loyal fans out there!
Drop me an email at Stefani314@yahoo.com if you get a chance!

I was violently ill yesterday, so not only was I home sick with 2 toddlers, I was depressed about missing Marty. I guess I'll have to scheme and see if I can make the Barrington show happen. I know Nancy BBE was planning on going, so if we are all patient, we should have some awesome pics soon.

Marty was wonderful. As usual, I don't have a set list. LOL
Larry and I drove down thinking that Marty would be on early so we could drive back that night - Larry had something to do Saturday morning. Well, turns out there were 2 opening bands, so Marty didn't get on until after 11, I think. Steph333 and Susie were there, and they said I could stay over with them - so I did and Larry took off - BEFORE Marty sang. LOL I guess he really wanted to get home quickly.
Marty wore the most unusual striped pants, very wide grey and blackstripes (looked almost purple in lighting LOL). First thing I thought of was Beetlejuice!
He sang for over an hour - joking around, especially with the sound guy who kept adding echo and reverb into the mic. A new sound for Marty - who played around with it.
He sang Skinny White Guitar Player and a new song he said he just finished a couple of days ago with Dino - which made me so happy to hear that they are relating. He sang Hold On, Can't Always get what you want, and I just don't remember them all. Of course, he ended with Trees, but just before that, someone requested Clouds, so he did that too.
Pictures are being worked on - I tried a couple of new settings on my camera, so I'm not sure how they will come out.
There were a lot of people there, mostly locals I think - but who knew of Marty. Not too many people traveled in - only a couple of others from Chicago, and some from Indiana. But it was a great crowd.

Marty was amazing as usual! My kids were able to meet him before the show and he was so gracious. They really wanted to stay and see him, but of course they are too young. I got to meet several fans - I enjoy meeting people who have the same intrests as me :-) I'd really like to hit the next solo show in Barrington - I guess we'll see. Radmaker's made a shot called the 'Lovehammer' and Marty didn't think it was too tasty. My sister was teasing him to play an LA Guns song! He called all the girls to the stage to sing Trees with him (the last song he played). My friend Jason came up and Marty gave him a Lovehammer shot for his bday. It was so much fun! I can't figure out how to get some of my pics on here, sorry. However, they are on my myspace. - Jami

You know, chifan - I think you're right. They definitely looked like those. The lights made them look a little different - but I bet those are the ones. He said later he wore them on halloween! LOL
