I just wanted to say that Marty was doing himself a disservice by changing his musical style to fit what INXS was looking for. Marty, you were clearly the most talented performer on the show, you just weren't a good fit for that band. I think the show has given you enough publicity coverage to go on to major superstardom, and now you have the freedom to sing it your way. I'm looking forward to shelling out my hard earned money to see you perform in K.C.
A fan, Carla

Hi, great site. Got hooked on Marty's voice during Rockstar INXS and now discovered Lovehammer. I was glad he didn't win as i thought he would be so much better without INXS, thought they might stifle the talent within and all that. Loved 'Trees' and 'Creep', tried to buy the downloads but darn it i live in the UK and can't access them help! I can get the Lovehammers album ok (thank heavens) but has anyone got any tips for getting hold of the Rockstar stuff. Feeling very frustrated about it all. TT

Hi Everyone, I'm not new to the forum but I am new to posting! I've been lurking here and enjoying the posts for quite some time. I thought my infatuation with Marty (and the Lovehammers) would fade when the show ended but happily that was not to be, so I thought I'd take the plunge and join up. I'm 38, from Canada, and the proud owner of INXS/Lovehammers tickets to Vancouver. My sister and I watched all the Rock Star shows together. She loved J.D. (but liked Marty) and I loved Marty (but liked J.D.) so that led to some interesting debates during the show. My music tastes have always run to the Metallica, AC/DC side so hard-rockin' Marty appeals to me in oh so many ways ;D Hope to chat with you all soon!

Hi! My name is Bren, 37 yrs old, and in Atlanta. A diehard INXS fan from back in the day, I initially scoffed at the idea of INXS using a reality show to find a new lead singer, but several weeks in, found myself addicted to the show! I realize this is probably sacrilege on this board, but I didn't get into Marty until the show was over...perhaps because I was into another contestant that didn't win?
Once the competition was over and I kept watching my tapes, I found myself thinking Marty was really sexy, and the rest is history!!! I guess all good things aren't always instant ;D
I hope that if INXS does a southern leg that The Lovehammers will continue to tour with them so I can see Mahty (as Tim would say it). Anyone else here in Atlanta?

My musical tastes are right there as well. The Lovehammers are heavy and better than INXS IMHO.

Hi Everyone! I'm Debra from California. And like everyone else on this site am in LOVE with Marty Casey! I became a fan the first time I watched RockStar. I wasn't going to watch the show, but my friend told me I had to watch because Marty reminded her of my husband. So I watched and was totally drawn in by Marty. After that I was hooked and had to watch every week. I recently bought the Lovehammers, Murder on My Mind CD and LOVE it! I listen to it constantly in my car. I just wish that I would have heard of the Lovehammers sooner. I can't wait to hear more from them. I am hoping to get tickets to the show in Oakland. I am not really a fan of INXS, but it would be worth going just to see Marty and the Lovehammers!

Hi, everyone. I'm the same Mondegreen from the RS/MSN message board ... been reading at mc.org for a while but only registered last week. I'm female, and old enough to be Marty's big sister As an INXS fan, I started watching RS:INXS with one eye closed, afraid the whole thing might prove to be some cheap, disrespectful fiasco. I think I missed the first week and somehow didn't notice or even see Marty in the second. But then came "Lithium" and it was — "Oh, my God, who is that guy?! He's incredible!" At the end of that show, I made my way to the computer as if in a trance and started voting. (You've heard this from many others, but I only vote at the polls, I don't watch reality TV, I don't post on message boards, I'm unimpressed by celebrities in general, and I'm old enough to know better!) So, that's how my whole summer changed. And now fall. And pretty soon, winter! Seriously, it's been years and years since any rock musician's work has had such a huge impact on me. IMHO, Marty has the essence of the greats. I literally can hardly wait to see how he works that gift from here on out. And, unless another opportunity arises between now and then (fingers crossed!!), I'll be seeing my first Lovehammers show on February 12th in NYC. Oh, I heard that INXS will be on the bill, too ... Long story short, I entered the RS:INXS "tunnel" an INXS fan and came out the other end with a big ol' "MC/LH" branded on my hindquarters ;D

Hello
Paulina, rockgram, sheowl and hellola1:
I know you Laura...we have emailed back and forth before....
Welcome all of you guys to the board.
Laura, many Marty fans are also MiG fans too. MiG was such a nice, genuine person who didn't seem to have a mean bone in his body that we couldn't help but have a soft spot in our hearts for him.
Keep us posted on your Dino interview. Dino has done many things for our site and he is a really fun interview.

I, like Sheowl, have been lurking (me for months). I thought maybe I'd attempt to come out of the closet. I decided, since my Marty obssesion isn't going away, I'd might as well join in.

Hi everyone. I'm from RockStar:MSN board. I'm not sure if I would call it my second home since it takes time for me to get comfortable to a new place and new people. I am a Marty's fan and a Lovehammers fan. I had been rooting for Marty exclusively since he amazed me with his performance of "Take Me Out". If Marty wasn't on the show, I wouldn't be a fan of any of the rockstars but I do like a little Mig, Suzie, Jordis, and JD has been growing on me fast. I am not sure, though, if I would follow the careers of the other three I mentioned, but I would definitely follow Marty Casey's music wherever his life takes him. I can't think of any Marty's performance that I didn't like, but I most especially love his performance of "Take Me Out", "With Arms Wide Open", "Trees", "Creep", "Don't Change"and "Wish You Were Here." Well, that's all I have to say for now.

Hey all ! I have come out of hiding to join ya'll in the Marty and Lovehammer love fest. I've seen some other Florida girls and it made me feel at home. I started watching Rockstar only because I loved Inxs back in their day and was not thrilled with the idea of a replacement for Micheal. One look at wild Marty and I was over my grief!! Happy to find people who get it.

Hi. Been reading for weeks. Just starting posting recently. Found Marty and LH on RS, of course. So glad my husband and I decided to start watching. We hadn't planned on it, but my mom(!) had taped the 1st ep. and insisted we watch it for the incredible talent. By Lithium, we were hooked on Marty and couldn't wait to see what he would do each week. Bought MOMM and it is in my car CD player permanently. Haven't loved music in years because of all the suckage out there, but now I have a new-found appreciation and excitement for music. Makes me feel young again (I'm only 30 but let's face it- after early 20's most of us become routine-addled old farts, unfortunately- but MC and LH have snapped me out of it, thank god!). Especially loved Mr. Brightside, Everlong/Trees and Creep. So nice to see I'm not the only one with the crazies for MC and LH- I was beginning to feel as though I'd lost my mind.

I've posted a couple of times but am mostly a lurker - joined here around the beginning of October. Hubby and I watched Rockstar INXS from the beginning as we were huge INXS fans back in the day. We were rooting for Marty from the beginning as we were born and raised in the same area of Chicago and of course we were going to root for the hometown guy. We became more and more amazed at his talent as the weeks went on and looked forward to each of his performances. Marty's performance of WYWH was especially moving since my husband had lost one of his close friends to cancer the month before, and his performance moved both of us to tears. We were in disbelief at the outcome of the finale but as the saying goes, "everything happens for a reason". Ordered the CD's. love the Lovehammers and can not wait to see them perform live!
