Greetings everyone! I'm a fellow Martyoholic...I'm 22 years old (soon to be 23 the day after Marty's birthday! ;D ). I'm a college student in Long Island, New York. Although I grew up in New York City. I came to this bord from IDF on vstreamer's recommendation. I hope this forum can help me fill the void of my much needed "Marty fix" lol, now that Rock Star has come to a close . When Rock Star first started, I'll admit, Marty was not my favorite, but after his performace of "Lithium", he definitely won me over! (I'm a HUGE Nirvana fan! . I'm 45 with 4 kids ages 24, 21, 16 and 15. I am a teacher and watching Marty videos and listening to his music plus talking to Marty fans are my guilty pleasures.

Hello everyone. Thanks to Cindy K, Amy and Robin for this terrific martycasey site! Marty's talent and heart has no peer. His gracious personality, amazing work ethic and raw energy culminates into such mesmerizing performances. I love the passion that comes across in his work. It inspires me, makes my heart swell and brings a smile to my face. He is like an angel, with a devilish charm. You want to just cheer him on and on and on. I'm 31, from NYC and a huge fan of Marty Casey and the Lovehammers. I wish them all the success they deserve and cannot wait to see them perform live! Hi all~

I'm probably one of Marty's oldest fans (a 62 year old grandmother) and a lover of rock music since Elvis appeared on Ed Sullivan's show waaaaay back.

Marty grabbed my attention from the very first RS show and nothing changed throughout the competition. Marty stood out from the rest with his mesmerizing stage presence and it's been many years since any performer has drawn me into his performances like Marty did. Might mention that his eyes are simply captivating.

Marty showed a great deal of maturity, artistic commitment and grace throughout the entire show and I had such mixed feelings about the outcome. In one way I was disappointed that Marty didn't win INXS's lead, but in another way I think he and the Lovehammers got massive exposure and will have a stellar career, thanks to the spotlight Marty's performances shone on their band. In the long run, I really believe Marty would have felt constrained by INXS and needs to blaze his own trail in his own way.

Happy Birthday, Marty, and may all your dreams come true. You gave many people a great deal of joy to have discovered your magnificent talent. We'll be following your career for years to come.

JD as lead singer what a huge joke that was.....But fell in love with Marty and his voice, style, charisma, everything is amazing!!! Talent forever!!! I live in Tasmania, Australia and the Cd's are not in the stores here so hopefully they will be able to order them so I can turn them up LOUD!!!!! I am ecstatic he will be opening for the INXS concert because then the whole world will know what a great band he fronts with so much talent.......truly inspiring!!!

Hi, Vanessa here, 35 yrs from Auckland, NZ. Saw there was another Kiwi on this board too, so glad not to be alone. Have also posted on the rockstar and lovehammer boards under the same (kiwigirl). What can I say, I am just hooked under Marty Casey's spell! Have ordered the Lovehammers "Murder on my Mind" and feel like a kid waiting for xmas! Just wish I could get a copy of "Trees" (download isn't working on msn music for me for some reason) but in the meantime I'll keep singing it to myself.

Isn't it great to have someone who makes us all feel like this about them and their music! It's almost like having Freddy Mercury reincarnated into another body with a different style (hope nobody is offended by that, I mean it with the utmost respect!)

I just can't wait to hear what is to come from Marty, I know he'll do us proud!

Hello, Another huge Marty Fan here. I don't know what to really say, it seems to be all be said. I wasn't going to watch another "reality" show, but saw a couple clips here and there and finally got hooked with Mr. Brightside. It totally blew me away. I had to keep watching to see what Marty would do next. I still have the last 4 weeks of the show recorded on my PVR so I can still watch when I feel the need. Anyway, really happy that Marty DIDN"T win and came in second so we can still hear and the see the real Marty and not a watered down version that INXS would have done to him. I cannot wait to see him in concert!!
I am a younger fan (by one year) and married mother of 2 kids. I live in the midwest and never heard of the Lovehammers until the show. I would love to see Marty sing with them- never heard them before either. Looking forward to what Marty does in the future with or without them.

Hello Nutsy and Others: I'm an O.L. like you. The world needs us as there are more rock fans our age group than any other. For God's sake, our kids listen to boy bands and rap. It's refreshing to read here that there are in fact some young people with exceptional taste. Like many of youl, I could write a lot, but suffice to say, that I've voted for Marty since Day One. I love what he's become; but I was also a fan when he was the Mad Conductor. Now that he's shown his versatility, I'm a bigger fan than ever. Fortunately I'm in the Chicago area, so that may give me the opportunity to see him in person sooner.
