Hey there i'm from Sydney Australia! I just joined today but i've been lurking various Marty sites for a few months now. I used to post on the rock star msn sites but i got so tired of all the JD fans copying my posts about Marty and inserting Jds name. That and all the aggression. You all seem like a friendly lot.Which figures since it is a Marty site . I'm proud to support such a thrilling performer and a throughly decent human being. Go MArty

Hi there, I'm Debbie and I live in Brisbane, but don't hold that against me, originally from Sydney. I would love to see Marty and his band when they come out here, but will they do what every other band seems to do and not play up in Brisbane. There has to be more than just me up here who would love to see Marty. but if I have to travel to Sydney to see him well that can be arranged. cheers Deb

Nice to meet you, Good on you willing to travel down to Sydney if they don't come to Brisbane. I will travel to Sydney from Melbourne if they don't come here, there is no way I am missing seeing Marty when he comes to Australia.

I emailed them yesterday and they have emailed me back already.
The more people they get asking for Marty, even if it is by satellite interview, the better.

I just saw the thread saying that the LH CD's are available internationally at last. I'll be placing my order straight away!

Hi I'm from Darwin and a HUGE Marty fan. Needless to say I will definately have to travel to see Marty live, but am more than prepared!! Has anyone had a headsup on when they will be in Aus, cause I figure they will tour extensively in the states first??? Wouldn't you know we don't get Rove live here either. So if anyone wants to be my friend and hook me up if it comes off that would be cool.

Great to meet 2 more fellow Aussie Marty fans.
I too have ordered my LH CD's, I first ordered them from Amazon but they just emailed me today and told me they could be as late as November 21st before I recieved them. Well, I cancelled that order and have now ordered them from the LH site. Hopefully they will arrive alot quicker. I have ordered the INXS Mayan Theatre CD from Amazon as it ships straight away. Just love Jordis singing 'The Man Who Sold The World' on that CD plus the few Marty songs of course!
If Rove does get Marty on via satellite I will do a copy for you Francene, that would be so cool.

Hi ya fellow Aussie Marty Fans

I'm in Melbourne and I'm probably the oldest on this thread by a mile. But then Marty said he likes older women - so it can't be all that bad. I've downloaded all Marty's songs and play them all day while working on the computer. Totally love "With Arms Wide Open". "Creep" and of course "Trees". Loved Jordis and Mig - but can't stand that JD!!!! Heard Pretty Vegas on the radio yesterday and had to turn it off!! Can't wait to see our gorgeous Marty here in Oz very soon. I too will e-mail Rove. Keep the Marty love happening.

Another Sydney fan, nice to meet everyone. This is the first rockstar related site I have posted at although I have lurked at heaps.

I don't watch Rove (yuck) but will set aside my distaste to send an email to try and get Marty back on our tv's.

When do you think the INXS tour will head back home? They better bring Marty when they do!

Gotta keep the Marty Aussie Fan Club going. Helen, I am from Blairgowrie down on the Mornington Peninsula. A hop skip and jump to the front and the back beach. It's just gorgeous. I scan the papers every day and all the web sites for info on our boy - without much luck. Would love to see him come to Oz - keep the news coming. Kel, I hate Rove as well, never watch it - but we have to try and get him some publicity - I am mates with a few music journo's, so I am applying pressure where I can.

Hey Lizzie, you aren't that far from me really, probably only about 45 minutes drive!
Have to agree with you guys about Rove, I only tune in if he is having a good guest on.
I am trying to get as many of my friends as possible to email him, I think about 10 emails have gone to him from my side so far.
Lizzie, keep applying that pressure to your friends, hopefully they will pay attention to you soon.
I scan the web and our papers also but Marty news down under is virtually impossible to find.
Do you guys own any of the Lovehammers CD's?
I have ordered mine from the LH website but am still waiting, can't wait for the RS INXS DVD to come out.

Well done girl. Yup - we are fairly close in proximity - 40 - 50 minutes drive - maybe we should get all Aussie fans together and have a Marty Barbie Cue in the not too distant future -could be fun. No, I haven't ordered the LH Cd yet - but I have all Martys' songs downloaded and play them all day. Have to get my Marty fix. Am about to e-mail Paul Stewart (Sunday Herald Sun) and beg him to do an article on our boy. Used to do heaps of PR with Paul in my younger days - so fingers crossed. I'd settle for a couple of lines - anything - to let fellow Aussies know about the new Rock God.
