Little Marty has certainly turned the corner and is well on the way to better health, as cheeky as this morning and no way was he gonna let me give him his medication so just as well things have improved. Will take some new photos in a week or two when he is a bit stronger.

Trees, mate, so good to hear from you, sorry I don't know what goes on in your part of the world but I have no idea what Potlatch is, I'm gonna have to google that one.
Good to hear you are fine and that things are good with you. You are so right, I am really hanging out to meet Den and all the others in person. It is starting to get close and I am really getting excited about it.

Thanks Den, Natasha and Chk for your birthday wishes. Hubby and I managed to get out to dinner but it was quite the eat and run thing given that I was neck deep in all kinds of deadlines. Ah well, I'll save all celebrations for Dec 9/10! Being 36 hasn't really sunk in...I don't feel 36. And I definitely like myself better now than when I was in my 20s

Am actually freakin pissed off now (can I say pissed off here?) My travel agent completely screwed up my air ticket booking and cancelled it!!! She's now got me on a new ticket coming back 15 Dec and not 16 Dec. Am waitlisted for 16 Dec. What's worse is that I have to pay a couple hundred dollars more per ticket! That's alot of shopping dosh. Urggghghhhh I don't think squeezing my stress ball helps anymore. I need to go hit something real soon...preferably the travel agent! This is one reason why I'd rather book online direct.

Oh, G, I am so sorry to hear that your travel agent screwed up. reminds me of dinner thursday night. we had friends (aussies, ironically) coming into Hk for a quick visit and I booked a trendy restaurant, table outside, etc for the entire group. We all met in the bar and I noticed it was getting to be past our reservation time, so I went to make sure they held the table for us and the guy says, "are you sure about the name?" (MY NAME!) then insists there is no reservation, no table outside, etc. I was feeling more than a little peeved. First, the guy presumes that because I am not Chinese i don't know one Chinese name from another (grrr) then tells me I don't have a table. I kept my cool and said, "Yes, I do. Go find a table."
Well, they did, but for all my bitchiness I ended up with an allergic reaction to the red wine and laryngitis from being outdoors at night! Hey, it was the restaurant's Karma, not mine that needed payback.
Better watch My Name is Earl and see where I went wrong.

Don't worry, G, it'll all work out -- I just know it. You're gonna have a blast and u better take lots of pix!

As some people might know, I got a job to work for RJTV/Radio, Philippines. In the 2 weeks I was there, I've never been treated so unfairly by an employer.

To sum it up, my employment contract was only 3 months with lots of illegal clauses. I started Oct 23 and they put Oct 31 so I won't get paid for the other days I worked.

They plan on deducting 500 pesos from my salary for cell phone--duh, it's my cell phone and the usage is for the company, but no, they are going to deduct it from my salary.

Another horrible clause: all my sales commission can be overrided if they choose it to be a management account--even if I did all the work.

Additional awful clause: they have the right to change my salary, commission scheme, job responsibilites, whenever they want during my employment with them.

With all this said, I refused to sign the pathetic contract. So I quit Nov 7th. I have to fight to get the 2 weeks pay they owe me.

Another bad thing is, they said they will televise MCLH videos on their tv station and giveaway the prizes I packaged for them. Now, I doubt that they will do that and they have the prizes the band sent me for promotions. I don't know how to get them back.

But, even if this shitty thing happened to me, I'm gonna keep on going. I've decided to just form my own company. The only person who can really treat me well is myself.

"Do unto others as you would have them do unto you". What goes around comes around.

I'm just gonna find other options for myself. I don't wanna waste time brooding.

yeah, i was okay until they finally gave me the employment contract to read and sign. i didn't want to sign it because it was mostly garbage. no, i am aware that being self-employed isn't easy. no it's not mstar anymore. i don't have a choice. i live in the third world with not many options. if i had my way, had the money, i'd go home to canada. but now, i've been sick too long and haven't been able to work until now that my health is more stable. i was fine earlier but not i'm not.

I haven't posted in a while - my hubby is really sick and been in hospital - looks like a long road ahead.

Helen sorry to hear you've been having a rough time. Have the blood clots absorbed or will you have to have surgery? My hubby is currently getting needles in his stomach for blood clots, he looks like a pin cushion, so I can appreciate what you are going through. I'm sure Charles' NZ owners will be giving him lots of love! Happy Birthday to Trees too.

The day after hammerjam, it seems like i couldn't drag myself away from the camera..i just kept going over and over all the pics i took of the concert. It was sooo funny every time i came across the above pic and showed Ing and she would just melt...i loved doing that to her...it destroyed her each and every time...hahah..sorry Ing matie but i think u really loved it didnt ya?? who am i kidding..i melted as well...or did i thud?? i think it was a combination of the two...teeheeeee

My hubby Peter wanted u all to know about his encounter with Marty at Elm Street Liquors soooooooo....here goes...

(this is told in his words...im not happy about some stuff but he insisted that he wanted his side of the story told...MEN!! lol)

- the plane lands and dani waves out the window and says "hi marty wherever u are" when the plane lands. I think to myself..."oh shit, shes already lost it!!!!!!!!!!" LOL (peeksy here guys...actually marty was still in LA when we flew in..lmfao)

- get to the hotel. we meet ing for the first time and her and dani talk shop for a long while and then we go out for food at 2am

- meet denise next day and we all catch a taxi to elm street liquors. i meet billy and the rest of the gang of girls there, all really nice

- well then marty walks in and Ing, dani and denise are like stunned mullets for about couple of minutes before they get their senses again

- met richard, wife of a hammerchickie....cool cool guy

- met a guy called kyle who had just moved to chitown from california and he got introduced to marty and billy and actually got onto the guest list for hammerjam...cool guy and a new fan no doubt

- me richard and kyle got pissed

- billy kept saying "heyyyy, there's the aussie guy" everytime i walked past him

- i was at the bar and marty came over and said "i cant believe u guys came from Australia" and I said "well i gotta keep the wife happy"

- we talked about music in general and how Mig was going. Mig is doing good and he has a new album coming out in January

- i met martys friends rita and michael who were both really friendly and nice

That is all i remember of the night...i got pretty smashed towards the end.

Friday/Saturday...

- Met up with Denises son chris and DIL Liz. We got along really well, they are the nicest people.

- Met lots of hammerheads at dinner

- After dinner we went to Rock It Bar and partied with Phil, Desirees husband (she is desiinsantarosa on lh.com..i think) Phil is one cool dude

- met Kellee, Rachael (chitowngirl)..really nice to talk to

- we ended up at a joint called Mother Hubbards with many hammerheads where we continued partying.

- met a cool guy called jim - he was craaaaaaazy

- dani got into soundcheck - somehow... i had to wait outside. she ran inside with a look of amazement/excitement on her face

- hammerjam was awesome

- i had a really good time but i got kicked out during trees - near the end of 1st encore for filming

- Liz and Chris came out with me and we went next door to an irish pub. thanks guys for keeping me company

- Phil came to join us and couldnt believe i got kicked out. He said that aussies are the coolest!! (he thought it was cool to have been kicked out). dani didnt think so....at all....in fact she missed the last two songs of the show to come find me LOL

Towards the end of the night at elm street liquors i wanted to tell Marty about the INXS concert i went to and ask him something about JD but he basically fobbed me off saying..."nuh, nuh..dont wanna hear it"...ooooookaaaaaaaaaay...

I went over the the DJ booth where Billy was hanging out and i couldnt resist ruffling up his hair at the front. I asked him first if it was ok. OMG he has the thickest most boofiest hair evah! I told him that i needed to ruffle up his hair on either side as well otherwise he would look a bit silly...soooo...i ruffled up his hair...not forgetting of course to do the back lmfao. By this stage, his hair looked "out there". It was toooo funny..should have got a pic of it! btw i got a thing for hair.

I touched martys hair as well but now that i look back, i think it annoyed him more than anything...oooops!

But i do have a pic of me and Billy taken at some stage during the night...check it out...

Thanks C for the empathy and sorry to hear about your allergic reaction. Hope you've recovered. Geez, it's quiet around here, we all must have better things to do than talk about LH It's just that we are all busy right !

Little Marty is 100% well again and full of cheekiness, you try taking photos, this is what you get, in your face shots!

We here in Oz are in huge drought conditions with horse feed and hay at very expensive prices and many parts of the country have no water as dams are dry so it is expensive looking after animals at present. Many birds are being seen in parts they aren't normally and I LOVE bird watching, we have a gang of rare Yellow Tailed Black Cockatoo's at out farm now stripping our trees as their usual habitat is dead, they are just magnificent, about 2 feet in length with a wingspan of 3- 3 1/2 feet. here is a pic for you to see what I mean.



Lise, have you and your hubby in my prayers and thoughts constantly, hope all turns out well for you. I know how frustrating being sick can be.

Back into hospital on Wednesday for me as I have a second blood clot in my leg and we have to decide what to do, keep on with medication or operate, will keep you up to date on the news. As you can imagine I haven't been very well lately. But I am pushing on with the thoughts of HJII LOUD and CLEAR in my mind.

Gaia, thanks for the constant contact with what is happening, I am so looking forward to December.

Den, my gorgeous Indy mate, your Thanksgiving isn't far away and you get to see your beautiful girls and family again, not long to go now. The only thing that upsets me about you being at my place at HJII is that Charles isn't here anymore for you to meet. Gosh I miss him so much.

AUSTRALIAN IDOL DOES ANYONE HERE WATCH IT?

When I first heard Marty sing on RS:INXS and many times there after he gave me goosebumps. Since then I haven't had any singer do that to me except Damien on Oz Idol who is now in the final 2. Marty and Damien couldn't be more different to look at, or more different in what they sing but they both have that one beautiful thing about them, they sing from their heart and soul. Damien is dark haired, Irish background, not as gorgeous as Marty but definitely not ugly, he actually has quite a mischievious, cheeky face. But when he sings certain songs I get that same "MARTY" feeling, it is just unreal. I love it.
