Just like the rest of you, I loved every single performance. They are all my favorites but the two that moved me the most, really riveted me, were Wish You Were Here and Creep. I'll never forget Marty's emotion at the end of the first WYWH and the way he slumped over the microphone at the end of Creep.

Yes. Creep was so powerful. I can picture just about every part of that performance when I listen top it. The slumping at the microphone at the end pretty much says it all.

Yes, it does say it all! It was clear that he put EVERYTHING he had into that performance, he was incredible!! I listen to it so much, I don't think I could ever get sick of it!

She runs, runs, runs, ruuuuuuuunnnnnnns. . . .
Besides the Radiohead original, i've listened to a couple of covers of this song, one by Stone Temple Pilots. Marty's performance blows them all away. Pretty much all he did was better than the original, especially Everlong. Someone said on one of these boards that this guy is going to win Grammys. I couldn't agree more. The original music he has with the LHs is some of the best I've heard in a LOOOONG time. For us new fans, RS:INXS gave us not only Marty, but an introduction to the band. It's pretty cool that INXS asked them to tour with them. Can't wait to see them in concert.

I love Marty's performance in Creep! I heard the original on my local radio station last week and have to say that I much prefer Marty's performance. It's as if at the time of singing the song, he really felt like a Creep and the self-loathing sort of translated into that scream thing he did towards the end "Run, run...". That's my take anyway...

I prefer ALL of Marty's versions to the originals, what an INCREDIBLE talent he is!! Some of the originals sound somewhat hum drum and boring to me now...positively no offense intended to any artist...it's just that Marty's got something so special and unique, hard to describe, but the fans on this board understand what I mean. It's that special way he makes us feel, that spark that captivated us from the moment we first saw him on TV. I can't wait to see him in concert either! AND...who else on earth could have made me love Hit Me Baby One More Time as much as I do??

Hi every1, I have been listening to my LH CD's so much lately I hadn't been playing my RS INXS videos. Well I just watched Marty singing CREEP and as usual it gives me goosebumps everytime I hear him sing it. I just LOVE it! This has to be my fave Marty song from RS INXS and a close second is WYWH. Rock on Marty!! Helen.

There is a thread on the LH boards that has a poll where you can vote. Creep is way in front. I would LOVE to hear him do this in concert!

I loved all of Marty's performances but the one I find myself watching over and over and OVER again is "Take Me Out". "I Alone" is a close second.

Tough choice. I loved all of Marty's performance and that's why I'm a fan :-) However, I do have some favorites and they are: Take Me Out (made me vote for him exclusively), With Arms Wide Open (I became a fan), I Alone (powerful), Creep (he made me liked the song), Trees (loved it), and Wish You Were Here.

was just reading the Rolling Stone interview with Bono in which he talks about going into a kind of trance when he performs songs at their best-- it reminded me of our marty's intensity during his RSINXS performances and how he 'snapped out of it' immediately after.... I think we need a fix! We definitely deserve a better, complete DVD!

There are 3 performances that really stood out to me: 1) Take Me Out - this is when I officially became a big time fan 2) Hit Me Baby... - Just because he didn't let his previous dislike for the song weigh him down - no whining about it - he was a true professional and pulled out a great performance 3) Don't Change - Loved how he just stepped up to the plate and nailed this with all the pressure of an elimination show - Plus he proved that he CAN do INXS I also have to make note of Mr. Brightside, because I didn't see the performance show that week and when I downloaded the video I practically watched it exclusively b/c it was so good. I also love to watch "Everlong". When he performed it I was a bit disappointed b/c I really like the song and was so used to hearing it full on and not accoustic. It would be great if he could've done it as intended w/o worrying about INXS. I love the part where he puts his fist in the air and starts nodding his head and gets his timing a little thrown off - awesome!

gosh, i love them all -- tho i missed the first episodes, his "arms wide open" swept me up and made me a dedicated fan. i love the intensity of "everlong" & the simple power of "mr. brightside." oh, and "take me out," and "hit me baby"... and i still get chills from "wish you were here." not easy to pick just one, is it?!?!

(It's the "INXS' reaction during Creep"). It is amazing to watch this.

Yes, let's not forget Marty comes with a brilliant and very easy on the eyes package known as the Lovehammers! Dino, Bobby and Billy are brilliant musicians in their own right.Love the whole gang!

I love how he assumed the accent in Take Me Out... that is not always easy to do, unless you have experience with the accent... It's interesting you bring this up because I don't think Marty was assuming an accent. I think that is just how Marty sings. If you listen to some of the stuff on MOMM, but especially if you see some of the live things on the Raw/Live DVD, Marty just pronounces things a little differently when he sings than he would when he talks. A lot of singers do that. Mick Jagger, among many others, leaps to mind. I don't think it's an intentional attempt on Marty's part to adopt an accent or mimic anyone else; I think it's just a combination of things -- his own Illinois "accent", the way he pronounces things for emphasis or when holding certain notes, a certain attitude he's striking for the song, and also simply for fun. On the RS MSN boards several Marty haters very derogatorily accused him of adopting a British accent for Mr. Brightside, in order to mimic the Killers. The only things is, the Killers aren't a British band. Hehe.

maybe we should have thread just about the accent thing. I have to say I love it. Marty took a lot of flack for it on other boards, but believe me if he sang in a Chicago accent it wouldn't sound right. For one thing, he'd sound like my Uncle Bob!
