I emailed Elisabeth (I had spelled her name incorrectly) to point out this fact and to request that the LH perform. Doubt it will do any good.

I am pissed because cute little Elisabeth (I think that's her name) introduced JD as the lead singer that America voted for. Is she in bizzaro America and I didn't get the memo? Marty was the one who consistently was at the top. JD made a few final 3 visits. Marty made 1 appearance. (with a freak phone problem over half the country--I am sure) Marty was the only one safe out of the final four. I would say he got the most votes during America's last vote. A science teacher would say that is a logical conclusion. That pissed me off too. She said at the start of the interview that she had watched the show all summer. I think she also said he was a fan favorite during the show. Helloooo? ?

When I emailed a cute little comment came up saying "I read my email every day so don't be surprised if you recieve a reply in your inbox soon."
I even watched the show today. I have no life. She said that she had gone home last night mad and tried to pick a fight with her husband. Could it be that she is just such a JD fan that she is blind to the powerful force of the mad conductor? She could have been mad that someone would challenge the greatness of her JD.
(not that I am egocentrically suggesting that I could emotionally affect a celebrity--More than likely she just wants the other ladies to shut up for once)
There is no way she could have watched this summer and missed out on the awesomeness that is Marty! She has to be totally JDized. (Or else her research staff really sucks.)

I heard Pretty Vegas on the radio today for the first time.
I think the song sounded much better on the Rockstar TV show ;D

Watched the View as well....the interview was nice and I thought JD handled it very well. I do love the Farris brothers, Gary and Kirk and I really want INXS to do well. Obviously Elizabeth didn't have a good fact checker. I noticed the audience didn't seem to have a lot of crazy fans like you would normally see if one of the American Idol contestants were on. Also saw there wasn't that big of turn out for the autograph session at Towers yesterday in NYC. Don't know if this is because RS didn't have high ratings. I didn't care for Elisabeth when she was on Survivor and I still don't like her much. Only time I watched the View was when Bo Bice was co-host he was hilarious ;D

I didn't get a chance to watch them on the show, but after reading everyone's posts, I emailed her and asked her to get Marty and the Lovehammers on the air for all the Marty Casey fans that have been deprived since rs ended. I also pointed out that JD may have been the choice of INXS, but Marty was definitely the audience choice, week after week. Maybe if we all emailed her, when their single comes out or the new cd they will get them on the air.

This may sound weird...... I do like the song Pretty Vegas......I can do witout the video......... But this is weird.......... Every time I hear the song or a piece of it.........I start humming or singing Trees.........and completely forget about Pretty Vegas.......... I'm not trying to disrespect PV...it is well written..and very catchy.........but......... Trees is the song I remember form RS.......

I too like Pretty Vegas but it in no way compares (in my mind) to Trees. Trees will be my everlasting choice. Maybe it's because my 22 month old says TREES every single time we get in the car and doesn't stop saying TREES until I play it. When my daughter is a teenager in love with the Lovehammers I will always remember how much she wanted to hear Trees. I listened to the new INXS album on vh1 and I was not unimpressed. I rather liked it and that was a welcome surprise to me. The Lovehammers will be a tough act to follow at the concert but I'm actually looking forward to hearing the rest (ducks??)

hmmm. Maybe "Tough Act to Follow" should be the name of the LH album?

hmmm. Maybe "Tough Act to Follow" should be the name of the LH album? I agree, good name for the new CD. I also like PV, just released in Australia and selling very well. Cheers, Helen.

I saw the vid for PV for the first time today. It was good, but the whole segment with the megaphone was just not right.
The whole time I kept on wondering what I would think of the video if I never watched RS INXS.

The show definitely created the buzz for me. I can't say I'd be too into it if I hadn't loved the show. I crank it up when I hear it... because it brings back good memories for me. And of course, Marty co-wrote it... I love everything that man touches.

I tivo'd the View. I think JD did a good job answering the questions. I was also mad that she said America voted. That is soooooooooooooooo incorrect. INXS voted for JD, America voted for MARTY!! There was one weird moment on the View. Elisabeth was talking to the entire band and then she told them to go and set-up the equipment. They all stood up and she then told JD to sit back down, she had more questions for HIM. That was really weird and I don't think the rest of INXS liked it The song didn't sound too bad, but the part w/the megaphone was terrible!! My hubby likes their new CD, I think it is o.k. I of course watched all of the Marty videos again after watching the View--I'm so glad we have those on this website--please don't take them away

How embarrassing for INXS! They must have been super-pissed.
I'm definitely glad it wasn't Marty in that position.

From Marty's 8/13 blog entry:
"In the next part of the clinic with Navarro and Andrew Farriss we found out we were going to perform the song for Andrew and Navarro so Jordis, Jessica and I worked it out. Group one did their song and nailed their poppy ditty, it was a really fun tune. Our team performed our version and I loved it for the simplicity and rawness of the tune. Jordis has a killer voice and turned it on in the difficult stress of the situation at hand. J.D. then sang his version of the song and included pieces that we all as a group collaborated on. That made me feel good to hear that he kept those melodies and lyrics in his vision. I respected that."
Exactly what is JD's problem, and why did Kirk play along? Really tacky.

remus Hi. I visit Fortune448 sometimes as I check in with Melanie the webmaster periodically as we trade things for our sites..... and I have seen your valiant efforts on the message board to be fair to all. So thank you for that and we appreciate you stopping by our world to say hello. You are a class act as a fan... and I applaud your bravery. I am not big on effusive deification of one's chosen celebrity...and I hope if you see too much of that going on here, you point it out too. Anyway, welcome! Cindy, sorry for the long delay in this reply. Due to negativity on fan forums, I haven't frequented such sites as much of late. And truth be told, I didn't really have much more to add to this discussion that hasn't already been said. However, I was just checking out the RSINXS Others thread on the Fortune448 boards and saw your post there. I'm sorry you felt so uncomfortable in that environment. I can certainly identify with that. The negativity in that thread is overwhelming. I'd apologize on behalf of that forum but I don't feel particularly welcome there myself. Unfortunately, many of the moderators there join in on the negative posting. The few voices of reason (there was one really eloquent one who wasn't even a Marty/LH fan that posted after you) get shouted down. It's almost like a herd mentality.

i think it should be renamed "It Ain't Pretty." "It Ain't Pretty" is repeated throughout the song.
