Here's a post from an Icelandic fan who saw his homecoming in Iceland today at the Rockstar site.\http://boards.live.com/Rockstarboards/thread.aspx?ThreadID=92962 Great pics. I was one of the lucky one's who got to experience Magni coming home to Iceland in Smáralind (shopping center in Iceland) today. It was an awesome experience. I waited (with my 12 year old niece) for an hour before the program started to get a good spot. We were just by the stage and oh my god, was he HOT!!! It was so warm in there, so many people there, but who cares. I got some pictures since I was so up close and personal  ) It was so crowed, some thousands arrived. I have to admit that I don't have that great of a camera (a lot of red eyes), but at least I got some good shots I think. The first picture is of the two who auditioned and went to LA together with Magni in the beginning (they were like warm-ups before Magni arrived). Among others he performed Fire and Dolphins Cry, and it was a killer. I'm sure there are other out there who can download pictures from this event. Enjoy. The last picture is taking from my apartment (just outside Reykjavik). Just so you know why he is missing Iceland (the midnight sun in August around midnight) |

Hi, I´ve got one thing to add. Yesterday evening I watched some TV interview with Magni. He announced that he had been talking to Dilana erlier that day and she is determined to come to Iceland after about 2 weeks and sing with Magni´s band Á móti Sól.  I am so excited and I am definitely going to their concert. Finally Iceland is on the Rock map. Thanks Magni. Now I am just waiting for the Lovehammers to show up here ;D as if ... |

Yes Catch.... please please post the photos  Would love to see pics of Magni with friends, fans, family and of course beautiful Iceland!!! I read, awhile ago, how Iceland is a favourite spot for fashion designers to hold annual shows. Beautiful women with beautiful background setting ie ice caps wide open Sky. The photos were amazing. Magni is quite chatty in a recent interview back home in Iceland. One of the fans over on Rockband.com translated it into English for all the fans. He explains the "family dynamic" in the mansion.... "Apparently I was the dad. They just called me dad. And Storm was called mom. Because we were the only ones that never lost our temper, and we tried to keep the others going, so they called us mom and dad. And Lukas was like the little baby. And Dilana was the crazy big sister that everyone liked, and hated now and then. And Toby was just sort of the drunk older brother or something. So it was an awesome household." WOW. He also explains how much he and Toby wanted Lukas to win. "Lukas has had it a bit rough over the years and without getting specific about it, his life has pretty much just sucked so far, and this is like a gift from god for him and it’s just great, he’s like a baby brother to me and we completely love him, and Toby and I agreed that he should win, because we didn’t need it and he did." Ok so maybe I interpret this whole thing as Magni is a nice guy...but this interview has caused quite a ruckus among all the other fans. Nobody likes Magni talking about the others now to the press like this. I didn't think about it, but I guess maybe they have a point. Didn't we learn anything in the press clinic disaster....not to talk about the other contestants, because people twist this stuff to mean that Dilania is a bitch, Toby a drunk, Lukas a pitiful case and etc etc.
So maybe I should just deleted my post above and not stir the pot more.

Oh my Gosh Cindy, that interview gave me goosebumps. What a great guy. Ryan also stated in his interview with Dave that he wanted Lukas to win.

You know, I think it's ok. It could be twisted, but he takes great pains to describe the family dynamic. It was how he saw it. If people don't like Magni then there is a lot of ammunition there, but I think most people will get it. |

I agree with DG... I don't consider this anyway stirring the pot. If anything, it just made us love our favorites even more... and appreciate the things we maybe didn't see in someone else  It's all good.... |

Thanks for the Magni interview link, Amy.
And Cindy, I agree, I don't think you stirred the pot. Magni didn't talk about the other rockers in a necessarily demeaning way. Like someone else said, he talked about it in a friendly, "family dynamic," we are all in it way.
As we say 'round here, that boy ain't got a mean bone in his body! ;-)

Just announced from an Iceland fan. Dilana will be in Iceland performing with Magni next Sat. - "Hey everybody...I am excited..I get to see Magni and Dilana perform here in Iceland next Saturday...I know the place is gonna be PACKED!! getting my girls ready for a fun night in Reykjavík!!! I am glad that they are doing this together. They had a great chemistry.
