Just curious will those who attend INXS concerts purely to see Marty Casey boycott INXS by not staying to watch them or stay? I personally will watch the Lovehammers and then leave here in Chicago making a statement.

I won't be doing it so much to make a statement as I just can't stand JD Fortune. I actually like INXS but I'm not about to watch them with him. I'm over them not picking Marty. That's not even the point. If they'd have picked Mig, I'd stay and watch them. But JD just always rubbed me the wrong way..and..frankly, I don't like anything about him when he sings (and humps the mic and crotch grabs) Yuck. I am very anxious to see the Lovehammers though!!

I will go and be beside myself to see the LH. I'm not overly fond of JD as person, as we saw him on RS which in fairness could have really been skewed. But, seeing as how he and Marty truly seem to be friends and care what happens to each other, I will stay to listen and give a fair shake. If I don't like what I hear or see, then I will leave. I love INXS, but I won't stay "just for the sake of" either.

I will go primarily to see Marty and LH (and I can not wait til that moment), but I will also stay to see INXS and JD out of respect for the fact that the reason we all know and love Marty is because of Rock Star: INXS. I think that is what Marty would want his fans to do. I was not overly fond of JD and did feel he came across as very self centered and just not a very nice person, but I feel he is due some mad props - I personally loved his version of California Dreamin' and I do like Pretty Vegas. He does have some talent. Now that the show is over, hopefully JD will mature a little and learn from the experience. I feel that Marty did get the better deal with coming in second as he is now freely able to do his own thing and not be locked into INXS. INXS as a band is great - I have seen them twice back in their heyday and I'm reserving any further judgement til I see them perform with JD (who will hopefully turn down his stage antics!). Sorry to ramble on, this is just my very humble opinion.

I would stay but only because (a) my friend who I'd go with will be in full drool mode over JD (gag) and (b) if it was up to me I'd stay to see how it went but if I hated it I'd leave. But I think it'd be rude to just up and leave without giving them a chance.

If I pay some good money, I'm watching the whole thing. It seems silly to "boycott" -- these are professional musicians and I'd like to give them a chance. I've been pleasantly surprised at some concerts I thought I wouldn't really like.... so you never know. PLUS -- YOU NEVER KNOW IF MARTY WOULD JOIN THEM -- so that's reason enough to stick it out till the end.

I don't care for the way J.D. came across on the show - nor for the crotch grabs, etc. But I think it is fair to give him a chance. As some of you others have said, I LOVE INXS and this is the choice they made. Let's see if J.D. is, indeed, "roit for OBINXS" Somewhere I read, though, about wearing green shirts to support our Marty. I would probably do that. :-D

I will go to see Lovehammers but would not walk out or boycott someone else just because they didn't pick my fav. especially when they are touring together. If I didn't like the music they were doing I would probably leave after awhile, but I would not be so rude as to up and walk out, this could only possibly hurt the LH contract to open with INXS. And they said this is what they want. I intend to fully support them.

I'll go to see Marty primarily. Then I will stay to see INXS. There's no way I'm walking out of a concert I paid good money for. I think JD will do a good job wth INXS. I respect INXS for making Marty visible to us and helping his career.

I had to put on my adult thinking cap for this one. Out of respect for Marty and the Lovehammers, I would do my best to stay. Not sure if my husband would do the same though. INXS gave this opportunity to LH, though I feel Marty did really earn this. I have to agree with a few other posts that I have a hard time swallowing JD (Jason). I cannot stand the crotch rub or the hand shakes with all the big gawdy rings. I would much rather have Marty conduct me or eye f@@k me anyday.

I wouldn't "boycott" either just because INXS didn't pick my favorite. It's done and over....we're moving on with Marty and I'd expect INXS to move forward with their new lead singer.
Although I wish nothing but success for INXS, I don't particularly enjoy JD's voice. I'd stay a bit to see whether I wanted to hear the rest of the concert. If JD sounds okay, then I'd stay.

I respect INXS for making Marty visible to us and helping his career. I am no fan of JD, either personality or musically but I agree that many of us would never have known about Martys talents without the show or INXS. I expect I would have to travel some distance to see the gig so would stay to see all of it but my priority would be to see Marty!!!

I would stay. If it were not for RS I never would have heard of Marty. Plus, they asked him to open for them and he said yes. If he didn't want his fans to support INXS he wouldn't be opening for them!! AND like someone else already said, what if Marty joins them later? I wouldn't want to miss that. I am not a big JD fan, but I do think he fits the sound and look of INXS and deserves a chance. (Just close your eyes when he sings and it is much better:)

I'd have to agree with what most are saying here and I think it would be a big embarassment for Marty/LH if their fans walked out. Listening to Marty in interviews, it sounds like he has alot of respect for INXS.

I would definitely stay. I think INXS and the whole show was very fair, and they treated everyone with respect which I really appreciated. Although I was hoping it would be Marty, I do think he ended up with the best of both worlds. Admittedly the only reason I would go in the first place would be to see Marty and LH, but hey I love music and I am certainly going to stay and listen to INXS too. I am back and forth on the JD thing, I have a feeling someone was trying to twist things a bit to create some drama in the beginning- I tend to look on the optimistic side - hopefully he learned from the experience as well.

I definitely won't boycott, for all of the reasons mentioned above. It really supports Marty if we stay. I also don't like JD; his voice is okay but I can't stand his attitude or stage presence. He strikes me as very immature. But I want Marty and LH to be seen in the best light, and one way to do that is to be a classy audience. And yeah, he might join them on stage (although I think that would make JD crazy).

I would NEVER walk out. Marty showed so much dignity and grace, despite his disappointment, I can't imagine he'd appreciate a boycott of INXS. And as pointed out in other posts, he has a lot of respect for them, they gave him this opportunity and exposure, and I think it would be an embarrassment. Personal feelings aside, I honestly believe that JD was right for them. While I didn't care for his singing, I think he was a better fit--because talent was only a part of it. Mostly it came down to which person they felt most comfortable with, that indefinable chemistry between people. I think they recognized that Marty was a very strong individual with a definite musical vision, which would have made integrating him into INXS difficult. Think of what the Lovehammers said--they can't imagine replacing him! And it seems we all agree that Marty will do better on his own--and be happier having that artistic freedom. So we all won! I really hope that everyone that is lucky enough to see them on tour will wish INXS with JD the very best, give them a chance, and go and behave in way that will make Marty and the Lovehammers proud of their fans. And of course lots of screaming for the Lovehammers is PERFECTLY fine!!!

I tend to agree with Amy. Depending on how JD sounds, I might hang out for a bit and see what happens. I don't care for his performance style or his voice..so my hesitance has nothing to do with the fact that he got chosen over Marty. I just don't dig him enough to hang out for 3 hours.

I will definitely stay.....however, if I get a seat close to the stage, I will trade it to someone else when INXS/JD come on. JD over does the "sex" thing and I personally find it uncomfortable. Marty did it right.....just enough to make you want more.....this is the way to do it!!!!!

After seeing JD w/ INXS on Ellen and Craig Ferguson, he appears to be a great fit with the band. The band seemed happy with JD, JD seemed happy, the song sounded great! Looks like the band made the right choice for them. I wish them much success. Marty will be much better off doing his own style of music, rather than having to conform to INXS sound. This Rockstars experience has opened up a world of opportunities for Marty! I can't wait for the Marty Casey & LH / INXS world tour, I just hope they come somewhere close by so I can go.
