Yeah, I worry about that too afranjes .They need more national exposure. Finally seeing the video for "Trees" would be nice too.
I listened to Dave Navarro's radio show for the first time last night, and it was pretty cool. There was profanity and some sex talk, but Dave and his co-host also talked about a variety of other interesting topics. It was very funny and laid-back. Dave played a lot of good music too. I think that would be good promo for the LHs, but since Dave does the show from his home in L.A. and the guys being on the road starting next week, it probably won't be possible for awhile.

afranges -- exactly -- You cut to the heart of the matter.
I've been amazed at my worry over the take-off of this particular LH airplane. Can't recall being this invested in a band since, well, honestly, the Beatles, when I was eight. Kind of absurd, but oh well.
As I'm listening to the disaster interview, all I can think of is, Wow, WHO did this to my angels? What's the backstory on this little situation? How many levels of intrigue are we talking about? I went straight from yawning over the crass & boring to pondering conspiracy theories. Nuts.
So, yes, I hope the boys get the kind of support they will need for the success they deserve to come their way. It would be a drag to see them get this far and then have a faulty lift-off.
I read a quote of Billy's somewhere, can't remember where, saying that he for one felt a bit nervous or even "afraid" (think that was the word) about the INXS tour and whatever is comng up next. I felt for him and thought, smart kid ... Being a bit frightened can be a very good thing.

LOL -- OMG ... As if in answer to my worried mother hen entreaties, I just got an email link thingie from Q101-Marketing@Q101.com. They are doing a transmission of the Twisted 12 performances and I'm listening to the Lovehammers live for the first time ... Unbelievable. They sound AMAZING and suddenly all my fears have vanished. How can they sound BETTER live than on a CD? Officially relieved. I'm ready to forgive them for the next 12 LoveBytes if this is how they sound in concert!

I Better yet, I think they should be whoever they want to be, not who you want them to be. As for the subjugation of women, I happened to be at the so called "Seeming to be cool" bare breast, making out session. The females engaging in the "lude" act took it upon themselves to put on a show. They weren't whipped and chained up until they agreed to perform. Honestly, I do not recall a band member being in the room when this happened, I could be wrong though. I do recall about 6 or 7 females watching the act as well. Either way, tits or no tits, ass grabbing or no ass grabbing, they are cool in more ways than you are implying they are "trying" to be and more than you may ever know. You have no idea what these guys are like, don't judge them by a clip in a video or by an obviously racy Internet Sex Radio Interview. Ok, I am finsihed. It's all about the music, so listen up and enjoy, you will be happier with the band on January 24th, trust me!. Go Howard

Ok, am having to put my 10 cents in again, and you know, that is what is great about this message board, everyone is so nice and understanding and compassionate, and we all have one thing in common, and that is a love for music. Marty is the Lovehammers, and yes...Lovehammers is a RockBand. I realize people have an image of these "Boys" that they want to keep fresh in their minds, and they want the success that Marty so deserves to be there for the taking. True, allot of people felt that interview was bad PR, but it was a Sex Show, and if anyone really listened, they were talking about things they DID when they were young, oh hello, you don't even want to know what I did when I was young, or at least I won't be telling is all. The Lovehammers have a chemistry, simply said, and this chemistry is what attracts and summons people from all over the globe to them, not their life styles, or their preferences one way or another, but that chemistry of music and energy, and Rock N Roll. Marty's ability to perform supercedes everyone's expectations of Rock N Roll, so therefore they should be angels and not have anyone think bad of them, and that is just not the real world here. I sure have teetered on my feelings about said interview, but I have to say I'm a true Lovehammers fan,,,,no matter what is said, and their success will happen, no matter what is said by whom. For God Sake, I have seen squirrels heads being bitten off at concerts, and quitars smashed over people's heads, and these groups are still around and still very much Rock N Roll, so I don't think this will tarnish the Lovehammers beginnings of this awesome tour they are getting ready to entail. I personally am putting this topic to rest and never want to talk about it again, because it is mute, ridiculous to even continue.....Now mind you all, if Marty ever decides to eat a squirlles head off on stage, I might have something to say about that in the future, but no more about this stupid interview will be heard by me. Sorry for taking up so much space, just wanted my final opinion to be heard. The Lovehammers rule, they are hot, they are on fire, they are already a success, and they need our support for the up and coming journey that will spread their Love to millions and millions more fans. See ya all later...Nancy...

Nancy ... I've enjoyed what you've written on this subject. I've enjoyed the whole conversation actually. It's been really interesting. I'll bet the boys and their new team are having similar discussions ... I hope so! Music stirs up the passions and this is definitely a passionate site. I can understand not wanting to say more on this general matter -- it's kind of volatile subject matter and lighthearted on boards tends to work better. And I don't want to be too chatty on my first day ... I feel kind of silly actually that THIS was the very topic that got me out of delurking mode. I think, in an odd way, most of those who have spoken have basically said the same thing ... Just different prisms or approaches perhaps. I thought the interview was a mistake and a disappointment, for sure, and I'm pretty confident that the LH will learn from the experience.
I finally got the Raw/Live DVD today and watched it. I am so impressed with these four guys. You are right in saying that we all want the best for them. And I don't get too deep either and make a fool of myself but I think a lot of women put on a good front when it comes to certain kinds of objectification. We kind of have to to get through. I hope it's okay to say that here.
And now I will try to go make some dinner and give the topic a rest too. I hope that if squirrels heads get bitten off and the gang starts running amuck you will be there with your insights. All I would add, blah blah blah, is that the boys would probably be flattered to know that we care to this extent! It's been a totally worthwhile and fun conversation.

I totally agree with you washington...the fact that they are going to the big time and this is how their pr starts with kind of disappointed me...but hey, I just got done watching all the boys on the FOX in the Morning Show, with Bobby and Marty looking hot as usual...and I'mma let bygones be bygones LOL (see how easy that was?? LOL) After Dino's statement, it WAS a sex show, so they were gonna go all out obviously. I still don't think it was a smart move to do the show but hey, whatever. January 24th here we come!
Also, person about the "drugs, sex, and rock and roll" thing...whoever said that Marty just pores sex appeal without having to even be bold with it necessarily is soooo true. That's what I love about the guy. Truely something else.

OMG ... I'm giggling ... I may have to think of myself now as the "sex drug and rock and rock and roll person" ... I have a head of snow white hair and am pressing hard to get a ten-year old boy into bed by 9:45!
I think what sets Marty apart is what I mentioned before ... He's elegant ... That was what struck me during RS ... Even when he was freaking out (I Alone, encore of Lithium etc) he was just naturally fluid in his movements and expression. How fantastic was that first performance of Trees? It also helps that he's got that tall lean frame -- supermodel Marty! -- and that he knows how to dress the part. I, for one, kind of like the famous red tie ... and I think it's amazing how different he can look depending on what he's singing and what's needed ... So, yeah, lots of subtle sex appeal, loads of talent on the musical front, and the versatility of an actor. And, oh yeah, that boy can def. dance! The other three are interesting fellows ... I watched the DVD today and was amazed at how well they all play together ... Was also blown away by the audio of Twisted 12 ... great sound. But they don't have what Marty has which is I guess why MC is their super vital frontman. I want to see the four of them work a little harder in future at being cohesive as a unit in their public (spoken) appearances ... Not because I'm judgmental or think I know them or anything (as if!) but because I think that if they coordinate better the band will benefit. I really really don't want to see them turn into one-note wonders and then disappear -- to succeed in the longer term takes stamina and brains ... And Howard (or Dan), nice as he was to write in with his comments, made me chuckle this morning as I read them. Asking a group of (primarily) women not to comment and come to conclusions is like asking us not to get up in the morning and get on with our lives!
So am eagerly awaiting the 24th with the rest of you and hoping that I have the good sense to go into lurking mode again because this board is an addiction and I can see myself getting sucked into the Marty Casey vortex and having to be deprogrammed by my nearest and dearest.

Haha funny, I'm listening to it right now. It's bringing back so many memories from when I went to see them live there. Seeing them live, it's definitely evident that Marty IS really something else. Marty definitely oozes with "it" factor and that combined with all that was mentioned above will take the LHs far, most definitely. But they gotta play it smart, and I'm sure they will.
Listening to 'Rain On My Brain" now, and MAN, I cannot wait for this album to come out! Today for me has been a Lovehammers day...I came home from school and admediately watched the FOX morning show performance and all while I was studying I was listening to the Twisted 12 audio. I wish I could see them live again! They're amazing.
Haha I keep rambling don't I? LOL

I so envy you, mrs. screamer, the chance to have heard them play live. I'd heard or read that they sound even better live than recorded and was trying to figure out how that could possibly be but today I think I got it. Hope the Fox Morning Show becomes available so I can dive into fantasy land a little deeper.

Waaaaay back at the beginning of this thread you'll see my reactions to the fearless show as it was happening. A lot of "is this for real" and 'this is not amusing" kind of thing. As soon as the virginity and drinking questions/stories started i was soooooo glad for Marty that he wasn't there. I really don't care if it's a sex show or if there are people who find such content amusing. I DO care that Epic doesn't seem to be watching out for our boys (or are they only advising Marty?) Six months ago if LH had done this show few people would have heard it or cared, but times have changed. There are now THOUSANDS of hammerheads out there of all ages and of both genders. I am not asking the LH to be p.c. in their interviews, but they do need to take care. The great thing about the internet -- you can always find what you're looking for -- is also it's great danger. Those interviews will be on line for a long time, my friends, and, speaking as a journalist, I KNOW that every little thing you do or say will come back. Take interviews seriously so that journailsts take you seriously. I want LH on the cover of Rolling Stone, not on the fearless website. best, C

HI! I mentioned this on the LH Website, and didn't really want to mention it here because I was hoping that this would just die down by itself but it isn't happening. Can we please get past this interview, get rid of the negativity and bad karma here? The LOVEHAMMERS which includes MARTY are about to start a world tour which will be such an adventure of their lives. Can we please just focus on the LOVEHAMMERS upcoming tour and CD?? Wishing them great success and good luck and give them all of our support and love!!! I started a thread in the HAMMERHEAD SECTION about BEST WISHES. If you support the LOVEHAMMERS or want to say best wishes please post there something. Thank you for listening to my rambling......

Isa - I'm just checking in and learning about the interview. I wasn't able to listen or be on-line with ya'all so I missed the "shocking" part. I'm with you. Let's get back to the music and the fun we all have in here and will have at the shows!
I would be interested to know what the boys thought of their interview though. I bet it is pretty hard to be interviewed live. One would probably want to come off as friendly and cooperative. Remember, not all the boys got the benefit of RS/INXS to train them on how to deal with the press. The press can be real SOB's. Think about it - some young guys - probably having a few beers and joking around with some women. May be easy to forget that there are all those others listening. (You know how when you've had a few at a bar and you and friends get talking about things that would normally make you blush?)
Let's blame the interviewers and get on with the show! Truth is - they make excellent music and they're all still hot. Of course one of them is so smokin' hot it's killing me, but that's another thread isn't it?

Since this thread hasn't been posted in as much as it used to, I'm pretty sure everyone got over it. At least I have LOL (listening to Lovehammer's marathon) LOL I think all the girls that gave constructive criticism on this interview (which i had) have now retreated to posting HOT HOT HOT pics of marty in the fangirls forum

Isa ... Of course we wish them well ... And of course we are emotionally invested in their success! Why else take the time to express some loving dismay? If expressing some concern is the equivalent of bad karma and neg. vibes, we are all in deep trouble! I've been putting my money where my mouth is for some months ... Buying a couple of copies of MoMM and L'Strange, a couple of RS/INXS, and going to some trouble to get the Live/Raw DVD on Ebay -- not to mention some LH t-shirts and other stuff put together by the Snarkgasm crew.
It takes a fair amount of courage to let loose on a board ... One's feelings can be bruised on the internet for sure by people one has never even seen ... I for one thought this thread was by far the most interesting of all the ones on this site and I've been lurking since the start -- I LOVE the terrific pictures that are posted ... And I note the hard work of the Street Team and send out a big old thank you on that score.
But in terms of an actual conversation about something intriguing the reaction to the interview takes first prize ... Love is like that sometimes ... A kiss and then a little scolding ... And then about fifty more kisses etc etc ...
I will now trot off to your wishing them well thread ... This is a great idea ... And I hear you ... Messages don't convey emotion sometimes and I am an idiot when it comes to images and emoticons and stuff but am sending you the little smiley face with hands clapping over its head. I'm a true old dork!
