I must say Marty and the boys were fabulous last night! I'm just writing a few lines before I start to work. Marty was a lean, mean singing machine. I'm Trying to recall the highlights, but that's hard, because it was all good. They did "Low Life Insurance" - Marty said they wanted to, but couldn't get it on the new album. They performed "Ring of Fire" - that was a plus. Dino and Bobby were working up such a sweat, the droplets were flying around. Billy is very cute in person. Marty did the encore "sans shirt", and even went into the crowd like that. I did manage to touch his sweaty arm and hand.

I will get your stuff back to you and hope you get to meet them yourself, with any luck, i will be right there with you....

Thanks guys. The only thing is I couldn't find anyone from martycasey.org. I did ask a couple of people who said they knew of the website, but they didn't have bracelets or anything.
CBGB's is a small place, so Marty just was able to grab onto the ceiling and jump up by the drum kit. I can only imagine what he's like on a larger stage! If I didn't have kids at home I would have stayed after to try and meet him. But maybe another time. Neal from Rockstar opened for Marty with a short set. He had a stubbly beard now. He was walking around talking to people after his set. It's so nice to see them mingle with their fans. This totally made up for the cancelled INXS show on Sunday.

I'm sure rockbeast has a very exciting and detailed account of the show. Looking forward to hearing all about it from him. His stories of the shows and his pictures make me feel like I was right there. Waiting patiently . . . . .

Since all of us at home were deprived of the live stream due to the malfunction of the CBGB web cam.... does anyone have any pictures they can send so that I can post them on the site?
Pretty please?
Email them to me webmaster@martycasey.org unless you have a bunch or they are really large, then send them to my regular personal email address cindy@cysy.com It holds a lot more!
Thank you everyone!

I expect we will get some great pictures and reviews pretty soon since there was a great group of people from here that went to CBGB's last nite. A number of them were traveling so it will probably take a little time for them to get settled I'm sure.
But I too am waiting with great anticipation. ;D

The show was absolutely mindblowingly AMAZING. Let's Get Wasted was friggin great, I'm so glad they played that. It's too bad that they didn't play Casualty =/.
Dino's hand looked better, only his middle finger was bandaged now. Billy is quite the cutie and they were all rocking out so hard it hurt. Marty was singing his heart out, and even gave the mic to a couple of guys in the crowd for a sec or two. He reached out to grab a few fans' hands, and he even bent down and sang to me (and if he wasn't, I'm going to pretend he was!).
I managed to snag 3 picks (2 dino 1 billy) and a set list and the best thing ever... A PICTURE WITH MARTY WHILE HES SHIRTLESS. I almost started hyperventilating and couldnt stop smiling after that. ;D
I'll post pictures once I get the pics from my camera and my boyfriend's camera uploaded!

Hey vstreamer, there were a bunch of us Hammerheads all around the stage. Sorry we didn't hook up with you!
Anyway, the show was unbelievable. CBGB's is a really small place and there were maybe 150 people there. Neal's band rocked, but when Marty hit the stage, a whole new energy came blasting into the room. Now that I've seem Marty/LH up close, he sets the standard for all other live shows from now on. It is really hard to take your eyes off him, especially now that he can be himself and doesn't have to hold anything back. He is incredible, his willingness to get up so close to his fans is profoundly generous, and he and the rest of the band have an amazing relationship on stage, both personal and musical. I really, really hope the LH management team, PR people and Sony/Epic do right by them.
There was no meet & greet, by the way (there wasn't one at Avery Fisher either). Very frustrating. At least I got a chance to welcome Bobby to New York; the "green room" was along the hall leading to the bathrooms and the guys, minus Marty, were hanging out there before the show (don't know where Marty was).
As for the set list, I can't remember the order of the songs but they included The Tunnel, Real Man, Eyes Can't See, Hold On, Straight as an Arrow, Trees (of course), Ring of Fire, Paint it Black, The Riddle, This Town, Low Life Insurance, Ultrasound, Rain on the Brain, Call of Distress, and maybe one or two more.
I have a few pictures, but they are not great. I want to de-red eye them and then see if they look any better. There were lots of people with cameras, so hopefully a few good pictures will surface.
One other thing ... the crowd was more women than men. So apparently men still aren't getting the message how great these guys are and how hard they rock. The men who were there said by then end of the evening that Marty is the real deal and now they got why we are so obsessed with him. Hopefully, they will spread the word amng other men. But ladies, drag your men to the show, even if they kick and scream the whole way. They will not be disappointed!!!!
And a special p.s. to everyone who showed up for dinner ... I loved meeting you all, and I hope we can do this again sometime soon (maybe they will play Irving Plaza or the Hammerstein Ballroom, which would be a great venues for them ... hint, hint ... ).

I got video of trees to share!!!!!!! My good friend Andrea went last night... this is what she posted for us Marty fans on the duran duran board... she said I can share.... Then there were the Lovehammers! Wow! Bam! In your face hot!The crowd was sooooooo engaging, despite the audience being 2/3 from out of the town. They sang most of their album, and Marty did a kick ass rendition of Painted Black. Stupid me didn't get the video bec. my monkey ass was dancing to it! But, I did get Trees: s49.yousendit.com/d.aspx?id=10HL5XTMELTFT35QUAWN5OJLUU

Oh man, it would be great if they played Irving Plaza! Though the stage is higher so we might not be able to get as close up. That's me and Marty! I look kind of like a deer caught in headlights, but inside I was bursting with happy, lol.

Hey vstreamer, there were a bunch of us Hammerheads all around the stage. Sorry we didn't hook up with you! Me too! Wendy, when I attempted to go to the bathroom before the show I did see Marty in that "green" room. He had his leather jacket on, and was just standing there, looking like the 'calm before the storm'. I don't know how to describe it otherwise. Those bathrooms were 'yikes', so I decided I could wait. Exactly right! My husband was raving about how great Marty was!
