Well it has been 2 whole days since my amazing experience at CBGB's. I haven't been able the wipe the smile from my face. Feb. 13 Avery Fisher HallThis had to be the most awful crowd the Lovehammers have had to play for. Minus the few Hammerheads who were rockin out. I found myself amazed at how unbelievably boring they all were.They were almost as bad as my monotone chemistry teacher. But of course when the Lovehammers played trees the lazy bums finally got off their butts and stood up and showed some support. I must I liked it much better when they were all sitting. with them standing my view of Marty was obstructed. Well they finished their set and this is when I went to work. I was on a mission to find the Lovehammers. I found Jeremy and he said that they weren't going to do a meet-n-greet. This didn't get me down it just made me that much more determined to find them. After hours of wondering we (my mom and I) found the back stage door. which happened to be outside in the 20 degree weather. Now being from AZ i just happen to find anything below 60 to be freezing, But I simply just had to meet them frozen toe, finger, and all. I met the infamous Tish and some other lovely Hammerheads. We stood there waits for what seemed to be years when finally I saw the Glorious green bus pulling an equipment trailer. Then I knew I was going to meet the Lovehammers. I met Ted their tour manager and he was very nice to us. We waited for a bit longer and finally there he was in all of his glory Marty Casey. I waited my turn and finally got to talk to him and got a picture with him. It was simply indescribable having his arm around me. By this time I could have cared less about my half way frost bitten fingers I had met Marty Casey. I also Grabbed the attention of Bobby before he headed the bus. and I must say he is just as gorgeous as Marty. Unfortunately my pic with him didn't come out at all  . But here is my picture with Marty.  Well the Lovehammers all headed the bus so I headed back to the hotel. CBGBThis was possibly the best day of all of my 16 years of living!My mom and I checked the place out around 11 ish. Then we just wandered the city till 6 when we arrived back at CBGB's. There was about 20 or so people there. The doors opened at 720. I got my spot right at the stage. well there were some lovely ladies in front of me but I was so close it didn't matter. P.R.Y.D.E. came on and rocked it. They were awesome for their age! Then I got to see Bona Roba. And Neil's butt is simply amazing. They rocked it as well. Once they finished the excitement began to build up inside of me. CBGB's played Mr. Brightside and everyone was singing and really getting excited! Then suddenly they appeared!!! And the show began!!! OMG it was amazing! Marty grabbed my hand at least 4 times and during Hold On he grabbed my face and sang to ME. His strong eye contact with me was enough to melt the worlds largest ice sculpture!!! I also got to sing into the mic along with a few other lucky people!! And the fact that Hold On is my favorite song was the double cherry on top! They played Let's get wasted and that was so much fun to rock out to. Soon the show came to an unfortunate end. I made my way to the back and along the way got some very nice compliments from some of the ladies there. I was standing right by the door way. But unfortunately Ted the tour Nazi (yes the same Ted who was so nice to me before) would not let me in the room no matter how much I used the puppy dog face (it always works on my Dad). Bobby saw me standing their and waved to me and said whats up kid! Then I said nothing I was just hoping you guys can sign my shirt! ( I had made a shirt). He flashed me a to-die-for smile!.. and he said sure thing! then he signed my shirt. not only just his autograph but a message to. saying thanks baby!!! Oh I also caught his attention during the concert and he winked and me along with Dino! Then we heard Ted say you guys can get a clean get away in one second. he had everyone clear the hallway. but I stayed put. Once most the people were gone the boys made a break for it.Thankfully I got Marty's attention and he signed my shirt. He said to me I saw you rockin out.. then I said how could I not he laughed and then ran for the door. Unfortunately I didn't get Billy or Dino's autograph but I really can't be to disappointed I did get to talk to my two favorites!!! Well the night was over and I headed back the hotel. It was the most amazing experience in my life and I know nothing will top it... Well maybe marring Bobby might. ;D... I'm still on my Lovehammer high! I'm going to go through Lovehammer with drawls if I don't see them again soon! Maybe I can use my puppy dog face to convince Daddy to take me to Kansas City ;D..well enough said... Oh and thanks to all the nice ladies who let me get right up against the stage. All of you guys can really rock. Now I'm off to go street team my high school! Got to get the younger crowd into the Lovehammers... no offense to anyone! Simply AMAZING!!!!! ;D ;D ***Permanently Hammered*** |

Thanks for all your kind words =). Thinking about it still makes me so giddy and happy, and I think the only reason I may still have been standing is because he was holding me lol. I was way too short so he had to bend down for me! What a cutie. I think it was the only time that I've ever been so stunned that I forgot to move or do anything other than just... appreciate the moment. Hey, Just let me start by saying I could not be more jealous.. I haven't seen the guys since The Viper Room and that was like 3 weeks ago...I'M GOING CRAZY!!! Thanks for all the pics. and reports..it really keeps us going.
Now for all of us who tried to watch the stream from CBGB, I contacted them about being able to order the "archive" , when it would be available and if there was any way to order the entire show (archives are only portions) and this is the response I got back last night.. just an FYI, in case anyone was wondering...

I am not sure if the show was even streamed. Some bands opt not to
be streamed.
As for the archiving.. we'll find out in the next couple of weeks if
this show will be archived.
Unfortunately there is no way to pay for more access etc.
