Please let me know about the Camping thang, its about all I could afford after buying my plane ticket, I just have to figure out how to get my camping gear on the plane. LOL You can look into renting camping gear so you don't have to try to get it on the plane. Have fun there, Beastie. Wish I could go.

Well the line up rules and the LH on the bill is a HUGE plus, the only bands I really hate on the bill are Puddle of Poo........

This concert has been confirmed on the LH main page "TOUR DATES Marty Casey & Lovehammers will be playing the Beale Street Music Festival in Memphis, TN on May 5th. Stay tuned for more dates." I want to go so bad! This one is close to me. I'm so excited by the last sentence

I think we're going to the Beale St Fest... it's about an 8 hour drive for us. Yay!

Actually, I don't - they have programs when you get there with what times and what stage, etc. Maybe as the day gets closer, they will post a schedule on the web page - that would be nice.

Sounds good Shukra. ;D
And Sharon ~ I can't find it now, but I thought I read that the music starts at 5pm on Friday and 1pm on the other days. You can click around on their website cause I'm pretty sure that's where I read it - so at least you'll know LH will play after 5, if that helps.

Thank you shuckra, Val, and butterflynclouds for the info, I appreciate it. I am hoping maybe I can make Memphis. I am in South Texas and airfare is a little higher than I anticipated. I still may go though just because I've waited so long. Sharon

Can't even say how badly I want to go to Memphis! I haven't been to a live show since November. But I'm a mom first. My daughter is a member of a statewide symphony and this is the same weekend as the final concert of her season. Love Marty and the guys, but love my daughter more. ;D So, to those of you who are going, HAVE A GREAT TIME! Since it appears LH will be hitting the road soon, with some luck I can party with some of you at another concert. ENJOY!

Hello All. I am not trying to solicit business here but I am a travel agent and thought this might be helpful...Memphis is rather expensive for me from San Diego. The cheap places to fly are where Southwest flies...they are a low cost carrier so keep the other carriers matching their fares, so lower. Little Rock Arkansas is one of those markets that is $198 RT before taxes so about $250 RT w/ tax at best IF available and then its about a 2 hr drive from there. people coulod pow wow in Little Rock and split minivan costs or something. And also here is another low cost carrier who has some deals, if helpful to you all. Cheers, Kellee Air Tran Airways Click on a city name to view the complete list of sale fares*
Akron/Canton $49 - $169 Atlanta $49 - $149 Baltimore $49 - $169 Bloomington/Normal $79 - $164 Boston $49 - $174 Buffalo/Niagara $89 - $169 Charlotte $59 - $169 Chicago (Midway) $39 - $119 Dallas/Ft. I've decided to make this official thread for the Memphis show, as so much helpful information has already been posted here. I'm going to change the name of this, though, and move it to Tour Towns and Ticket Exchange.

Questions for Shuckra ~ Since you've been to this festival before:
About how long does each band perform (and does it depend on how "big" the band is)?
Is the food decent or should we really eat alot before we go -?
How expensive is the alcohol?
Does anyone get away with having a camera?
