I think it is fine to support marty if he is the only reason you liked the lovehammers but if liked the whole band then it seems wrong to be happy for someone who just sold out his bandmates that he was with for so many years! JMO

I thought what he did on the show was amazing and I really feel like with Tracii and Jeremy and the rest of the crew, this is going to effin rock. |

No, i'm referring to all the Anti Marty fans out there right now! Let the guy be happy. Some people need to go and reread his blog. He states in it that he still hopes to do shows with the Lovehammers as well, but he also felt stuck creatively, so let the man do his thing. And until we all hear from the rest of the band, we need to all stop this bickering. I happen to know that alot of the people that are here supporting Marty have also supported the band as well.... just because some of us weren't around BEFORE rockstar doesn't mean we don't love the band just as much as the rest of you. We are all crushed too. Trust me, i would much rather him be with the Lovehammers than LA Guns, but it isn't up to me, so rather than cry about it, i'm going to give the guy a chance. People need to trust in Marty. Sorry Boston, that is all i will say about it. I know you want this thread to be about support for Marty, and i am 100% supporting him. |

We all (including myself) have emotions regarding this volatile subject and alot of us are still processing and coming to terms with the situation.
I would ask that the topic be adhered to in the way it was presented.

Sure its a bit of a shock to me at first, but in a really good way. It must have been a hard decision for him to make but it was his decision. I also don't think its the last we will hear of the Lovehammers and I am really looking forward to my first listen to LA Guns with the new blonde guy singer. I support Marty because he's talented, gorgeous, real, sweet, quirky, snarky and because he came into my life at a time when I needed a good kick in the pants to get off my butt and went out of his way to spend time with me and get to know me. I will continue to support him in whatever he does...even if he decided to become one of the Wiggles! |

im not gonna lie i dont like him with la guns.. but i DO SUPPORT HIM 100% i would much rather have him with the lovehammers but i will try and give this a chance. i owe him that at least. if he feels what he is doing is good and he is really into it and thinks his fans will be too... then i guess i can give it a shot. im not jumping 100% on board with this cause i love the other guys to death also but i love my marty.

I support Marty because: a. He's my friend, and I care about him. (I care about the other guys, too, and consider them friends. I am not "taking sides". I care about what happens to all of them.) b. I know what it feels like to be doing the same job for many years, until your soul aches to try something totally different, and you realize that if you have to do the same thing over and over for one more day, your soul is screaming that it will die. I support Marty because...
a. I like the way he sings
b. I like the way he writes
c. He's entertaining.
That's it! It may not be profound - but it's the truth. He's an artist and a musician and that's the draw. It's almost always all about the art with me! And I get excited when I see an artist evolving and growing and creating something new.
