Maybe we should be asking Molly Meldrum not to just review the CD but to get onto Epic/Sony and push for the release of the CD in Australia.
I am sure he would have contacts there and would have more pull than just us fans!

What do you all think, it is fab if he gives the CD a great review but pretty hopeless if no-one can actually buy it in Australia.

I think that it is essential that we ask Molly to push Epic/Sony for an Aussie release of the CD on Jan 24.
This should be our no. 1 priority at the moment. Otherwise, like you said, it is pointless to have any sort of publicity/review by Molly of the cd when no-one can actually purchase it here.

That would be great. Not sure how we will go getting Molly to persuade Epic to release the CD here on 24th. Looks like I will just have to make a zillion copies of the cd you send and post out to everyone I can think of here in Adelaide. Practically everyone that I spoke to today in the press were pretty helpful so just need to get a copy of the cd to them and include some sort of press kit to go with it. If Molly doesn't come through for us, do you know when I could at least get the unsigned copy of the cd to start distributing???

On the Epic Records site (www.epicrecords.com) there is a section way down the bottom that says 'send us feedback', it should take you to this page www.sonymusic.com/about/feedback.cgi
and the arrow that goes down has a thing for Epic feedback.
I hope that makes sense and helps.

Great work. I think we hammer all our contacts on the day they release the CD in Australia. They won't write an article on Marty and the LH because they don't have a clue who he is (most unfortunate). Let's just hope the record company has got its act together and a band of good publicists who know what they are doing - or else it will make our job all the harder.
We'll do our very best to make Marty a star, but we have to have faith in Epic and Marty's Manager ( OMG - please make em know what they're doing).

After emailing Express mag I remembered that I know someone who used to do journo work for them years ago and then I realised who he works for now......drum roll please.....Sony BMG in Perth. Please don't throw things at me. Seriously, I did only just remember this.

I have sent him an email and will let you know if he can help us out. I think he may send the men in white coats but they know me and they know I don't put up much of a fight.

My contact's name is Johnny and he just so happens to be extra friggin h.h.h.hot and even if replies - 'get lost', I will feel privelaged. Hopefully he will order the CDs we need

Oh wow it all sounds so exciting. Operation Get LH in OZ is well under way.

Am in the midst of crafting my press release for the print media in Singapore plus home-made press kit. Reckon I'll send out early next week. After that, I'll add my weight (by no means insignificant in kilos) to the AST efforts by e-mailing those Aussie stations and newspapers listed. Am also planning to hit Channel V as Dani suggested and MTV Asia.

Hey what about The Age? Any contacts there? I remember when my mum used to live in Melbourne, she'd suscribe to that.

I've heard quite a few people say that Sony or Epic gave the wrong website name.
However, I've noticed that ww.martycasey.com now links directly to the same EPIC page as www.lovehammers.com, so I believe this may not be a mistake at all!

After reading your posts how the radio stations could not really play the new CD and Trees until it is released there, I pmd poor Dino again to see if he knew somebody at Epic we could email to get the CD released in OZ. I know we want things to go faster for worldwide distribution. Here is my pm and his response.

Hi Dino,

I and my Aussie Street Teamers at mc.org have been emailing like crazy radio stations to get the new CD played in OZ and they all say the same thing. Until Epic releases the CD in OZ they can't play it. The AST are willing to send a copy of the CD to the stations to play it, but they feel their hands are tied as I'm sure you feel the same way as they do.

Question: Who do we deluge with emails at Epic/Sony to get them to release the CD in OZ? When I emailed Sony, all I got was a response to go to martycasey.com (which isn't even the right address) to get any information on Marty Casey and Lovehammers.

We are so demanding....geesh. Sorry about that. I'm just so excited to see the band taking off and we all, including my friends in Australia want to see you get played there as well.
