ST-ing again today. I had an interview with Joanne Ooi. She is the Creative Director (head designer) for Shanghai Tang. She is cool, connected and a blast to talk to. Anyway we were catching up post-interview and talking about Bowie, concerts, music... Did someone say music? That's my cue. I pulled out the MCLH CD and gave her a copy. She was thrilled to get it. "Wow they must be really good for you to travel so far to see them!" Said she'd listen to it and was I really sure she could keep the CD. The funny thing was the photographer working with me. He just laughed and rolled his eyes because I do this so often and he has to sit thru my LH spiel over and over!

JUNE 9, 2006 PHILIPPINE RELEASED MCLH CD!!!SONY-BMG PHILIPPINES HAS EXPRESSED GREAT INTEREST IN SUPPORTING MCLH HERE AND WILL CONTACT THEIR MANAGEMENT TO FORMALIZE A PROMOTIONAL TOUR AROUND THE PHILIPPINES. That is awesome news! A tour? That would be great! And great for you all because you would get to see Lh without traveling halfway around the world! Great work!

Hi Trees! You mean MCLH's CD is not available in British Columbia? ? That's a shame. Yes we have it in Canada..... We are very lucky on this one... Just Sony hasn't (to this date) been too supportive on the West Coast of Canada with promotion of LH

That's why some bands hit Asia first because they get bigger that way faster.

There's always power in numbers. Perhaps if you write a cordial letter stating your appreciation for MCLH to your respective Sony Head office in your country, they might be moved enough to promote the band better. I've learned so much these last few months about the music industrym, how it all works; and it's like being in the jungle. You gotta be tough and persevere. The rewards are great but doesn't come without working for it. With anything else for that matter. These labels look at a band's profitability. I know MCLH is very marketable but remember they are a newbie band in the international circle. They still have to test the waters and also prove themselves. Just be patient and all will fall into place. I'm gonna give them so much press coverage in the Philippines that it will make the other Asian countries notice and in North America too. You just have to know when to dangle the candy. Timing is everything but most importantly patience will save you from feeling down. So Rock on everbody! ;D

Hey Mia, I was thrilled when I saw MCLH at Target here in Indy in the New Releases section last week....now that took how many months since it was released here in the States? It was a great feeling. I still can not access Klite on the internet, but did as you said and sent an email and Free Text On-line. Hope it worked. Email, email, email.....what would we STers do without it. Den

I'm stoked! The journo I had been pestering has asked me to send him a copy of the CD. This despite the fact that the CD hasn't been released in Singapore (I think) and only HMV has import copies. Am gonna do up a press kit. I'll keep my fingers crossed that: 1) the review will be published; 2) the review rocks! Next step, requesting Trees on local stations. It's a pity Singapore doesn't have any station dedicated to Rock music but am hoping the generic ones will agree to play it.

Hi Gaia, Target getting MCLH played on the radio stations first before asking a journalist to write a review. A review is meaningless without a song on the airwaves audio or video. Put together a press kit which contains the ff: 1. MCLH CD 2. Bio (available on http://www.lovehammers.com) 3. History of the Lovehammers (www.lovehammersfanclub.com) 4. List websites where one can find good information about the band. 5. Make sure you have a business card. 6. Use a 8 1/2 X 11 envelope to store your press kit. 7. Stations usually have program directors of music. Approach that person first. 8. Make sure you know their name before you call or drop by with your press kit. 9. Remember, always be "PROFESSIONAL". Here is an extensive list of radio stations in your country. I took the liberty to get it for you since I'm such an internet junkie. www.asiawaves.net/singapore-radio.htm#fmJust email me at djkat@rock.com or PM if you require more assistance. Rock!

Hi Mia! You know what... your picture gives me the chills... I was passing by Tower Records yesterday at about 130pm and knew I had to go in. But my darling daughter chose the same time to go to the bathroom and so I quickly glanced through the glass walls, saw the NEW RELEASES section and tried to see if the album was there. My poor vision failed me I guess... Right after my daughter's bathroom business was done, we were on our way back to Tower when my husband calls me to say he's just arrived to pick us up!!!! Anyway, thanks for the news... I'm definitely going back later after work to pick me some albums!!! Have I told you lately? ... YOU ROCK!!!
