Chillicothe...how do we pronounce Chillicothe anyway? Chill-lick-coath-EE?? Taking a stab at it... It has a short i like in the word "kid" so: Chill - ih - coth - y

WOW!!!
That show was awesome! i went to go see L.A. Guns last night in chillicothe with my best friend rachel! we had about a our drive to get there so we left plenty early just in case of traffic.
but before the show we made the band some cookies. mainly cause marty had to get 5 staples in his head because he got wacked with traciis guitar 3 nights ago at the pottsville pa show. So rachel came over extra early so we could make the cookies. they didnt take too long wich was a good thing since i was running late getting my stuff together. The cookies ended up cooming out really great which made me very happy. We made chocolate chip which is marty's fav but i didnt know that at the time.
so we ended up leaving for chillicothe at around 3 and got there by 4 which gave us plenty of time to find the venue and find kristens house. we stayed with one of rachels friends. it was so nice of her family to let us stay with them. she was supposed to go to the show but ended up not going.
so we left kristens at around 6 doors opened at 7. we got there a little early so we just sat in the car. while we were sitting in the car this guy was talking on his cell phone obviously upset about something. i was like rachel! who is that person. they look like the drummer chad for L.A. Guns. she was no! that cant be him. well it did end up being him. we figured this one out when he came into the venue!
So we went into the venue at about 6:45pm. and the only face we recognized was yaks! she is sooooo sweet and got a great pic of me and marty. i will talk about that later. so we went over there and was talking to her and a woman named karen. they are both super nice and let us sit at their reserved table! while we were talking to them. alec the guitarist for L.A. Guns came in. and yak had him come over and introduced us to him. He is only 19 but he has some major skills. and not to mention he is so sweet! then chad came in and thats when i was like see i told you it was him to rachel! lol. he is super nice also. that was really the only time we got to see him during/before/after the show.
After a while of talking to them. i gave chad the cookies i had made for the band and he thanked me. they were so stocked about them. then yak went outside to sell the tickets she had for jodi and another friend that couldnt make it to the show. when she came back in she was like girls! marty is outside just hanging out and stuff. so me rachel karen and yak went outside to hang out with marty! we got to chill for about an hour before he went and got ready for their set. it was so cool to just hang out and talk about nothing really. he is so down to earth and such a nice guy. he ended up giving me and rachel and a whole bunch of other people some of his bracelets! he put it on all of us. i swear im never taking it off! lol.
So after he left all of us girls just hung outside talking and stuff and then it was about time for L.A. Guns to start so we all went in to see the set!
Marty has never looked so happy or good. he was kicking ass out there on stage even with his head the way it is. im surprised he didnt have a huge headache! im sure he did but never let on to any of us. they played 13 songs... which just happens to be martys favorite number! lol.
we watched the other band play, faster pussycat.... im not even going to get onto that subject.....
so after the show yak got rache the set list. so we all went to have marty sign it and get pics with him (yak wanted to but im glad we did). so he signs rachels set list and they took this really great pic. its like some dancing pose lol. it was so random and rachel was trying really hard not to laugh during the photo op. so then it was my turn and oh how it was my turn.
So i was just gonna you know like put my arm around marty but he had completely different plans. he kinda like stood behind me and bent down so his head was close to mine and put his arms over my shoulder.
so after we took all the pics i was like do you remember me at all from the show in cleveland? and he was like yeah i do. i wa like really? i looked so different then i had my glasses on hair pulled up and i had all brown hair which my hair is now blonde and brown. and he was like yeah i remember you, you talk alot and like to make yourself known. and at first i was thinking why are you hating on me. and then he was like but you always have something interesting to say so i pay attention. and said that if it wasnt interesting he wouldnt have remembered me! so that made me feel better. i'm still shocked he remembered me... even if i like to talk alot.... i cant hep it! lol
So we went back over and was talking to karen and stuff and me and rachel got our pics taken with alec and stuff and then with jeremy. but by this time it was almost 1 and we didnt want to keep kristen up late and plus she has a 2 year old little brother. so we left. and went to go say by to marty and before this yak had given me a set list so i had marty sign it for me and got another hug and talked to him for a little while longer and stuff.
over all this had to have been one of the best nights of my life! i have so much respect, love, and everything else for marty. that im sure i will always be a fan. he is one of the main reasons i have gotten into music so much in the past year and a half to two years that i cant thank anyone else but him. so thank you marty! you have changed my life in more then one way and will always continue to!
Christine

I was also at this concert - It was so awesome! I saw Marty play at Cardo's in December & the place was pretty dead (no fault of Marty's! He was great) I was so happy it was rocking on Monday. I didn't want it to end-my husband had to drag me outta there-now I'm depressed

I was able to make it to this show as well. It was so nice to hang out with everyone, making new friends and reconnecting with old ones!
Marty was brilliant on stage, winning over some die-hard old-school LAG fans! It's always fun to hear them talk beforehand, saying how they KNOW they're not gonna like it, then watching the whole transition from skeptic to believer.
Cardo's was definitely an awesome place and Cat was a fantastic hostess! Sadly, I forgot my camera but I think there were plenty of others who got some great photos.

We were there, too. It was a very fun show, probably my favorite so far! They were all playing off each other so well, and all seemed to be happy and having fun. Just a really good vibe to the whole show. It was great to see Kmmill, Yak, StephD, and meet Rachel and Christine. (If I'm leaving anyone out, I apologize. It was a very hectic day and night!) Lots of fun hanging out with you all before and after the show! We had heard that someone was bringing lasagna for the guys, so I brought some home-grown tomatoes from my garden to round out their meal. ;D Also some peanut M&M's, but Marty said that Tracii will probably eat them all before he gets any, since they're his favorites. We were glad to get to hang out with Marty for a while before the show. I didn't want to carry those tomatoes around the venue all night! Marty showed us his staples, up near the top of his head on the left side. Yikes!!! It looked kind of like a metal caterpillar had gotten ahold of his scalp! We bought VIP tickets, so we got to hang out after the show, too. Marty and Duane got to do a little jam session! Duane had brought his acoustic guitar, and took it out of the car after the show. He and Marty sang "Sleeper" together, and they sounded really good! Duane was so psyched that he was shaking afterward!!! Marty asked me to do an impromptu photo shoot with him in the "bank vault" area at Cardo's after the show. (It apparently used to be a bank at one time, and they still have the vault and the safe deposit boxes.) He came up with some really cool ideas for shots! His creativity extends to the visual realm, as well as the musical. I was truly impressed by that. I've sent them to him for his approval, and if he likes them, I'll send them to Cindy to post on the site. I also took pics during the show, and I'll work on those next. We are in the process of moving, though, so my time is limited. I may just slap my name on them and post them as is--we'll see. So it was a really wonderful evening, and I'm so glad we went!
