I'm definitely going. I'll bring along the kids if I have to. Have something special for Marty, that I can give him in person. YEAH! If anyone wants to carpool let me know. I'm going to make a weekend of it in Chicago, since I've never been! FUN!

I now have this event posted on the site. It is featured on the home page and has its own news item page too.
Sorry it took me a couple of days.

Linda, if you're asking about tickets - I don't think there are any. All you need to do is pay the admission to the Arboretum.

Awww, that was adorable! He sounded good, too. Thanks to Marla for the video, and Cindy for posting it! Here's some info on Morton Arboretum, from Metromix: Morton Arboretum 4100 Illinois Route 53 Lisle, IL 60532 630-968-0074
The Morton Arboretum is a tree museum. More than 3,700 kinds of trees, shrubs and plants grow on the 1,700-acre site. Special areas include the interactive Children's Garden; the Illinois Tree Trails' woodlands, meadows and marshes; an area with sugar maples (colorful in the fall); a crabapple orchard (splendid when the trees are in full bloom); and a prairie with tall grasses and flowers that blossom in summer and fall. The arboretum also features trees from other countries. Most of the 13 miles of trails are covered with wood chips, so they are not stroller-friendly. You can see the landscape by car along nine miles of one-way roads or take a guided tram tour.
Full meals are available in the Ginkgo Restaurant; sandwiches, soups and snacks are served in the coffee shop; a picnic area is located in the Children's Garden, near a small lake. Biking is prohibited for non-members but members can bike 5-8 p.m. Friday when roads are closed. No motorcycles allowed.
The Arboretum is on Illinois Route 53 and Interstate 88 (East-West Tollway) in Lisle. This is a beautiful place--I've been there before. It's also LARGE, so if you want to see it, plan to spend some time before the show exploring. The tram tours are a good way to see a lot of the park. There may be some fall color by then, too.

Thanks for the info, Nancy. I'm bringing my 10 year old, and she is a huge fan of gardens. She should love it.
BTW, I love your quote about community organizers versus governors.

The Arboretum has an wonderful Children's Garden. They rebuilt most of the central area in 2004 - including the Visitor Center, Store, Restaurant and Children's Garden. The video flashed on the entrance to the Children's Garden at one point. In checking through the Arboretum's web site, I found they had scattered little promos for the show on different pages. Here are a couple.

I love the Arboretum. I haven't been there in a few years. More than a few, now that I think about it. So....who all is going and what time are you getting there?
