Thanks guys! Cool stuff! I wish I could have been in 2 places at the same time, but had my own art/music performance show that day. Too bad "Just Go" is not officially released yet...I've played the song by ear for months already, and came up with my own cool rendition of it. Don't worry Marty, I won't post it before your CD gets released! Hey there Iwo, if you get a chance to transcribe some of those into chords, let me know - I wouldn't mind picking up some of those songs for my guitar work, and I'm guessing that they're straightforward enough that they should translate pretty well from 88 keys down to 6 strings. [/IMG] HH
Hey there Duane, I played my version based on "Just Go" I heard on Q101 radio some time ago which is half step higher than the one from Marty's myspace video. Chords for video one; INTRO: C chord (broken for guitar notes c g c e g c (each lead note repeats 4 times in melody)) G chord (broken for guitar g d g b d g ) Am chord (broken for guitar a e a c e a ) VERSE: C chord (start singing on the e note) Am chord both interchanging for a while ...and this is when it ends on the video clip, hopefully we'll hear it on the new CD Duane, have fun with it until then, hope this is helpful for you. ps. notice there is no 7th in those chords, probably for a reason because they would lead to the end and there is only the beginning...

Iwo - thanks for posting on that music; I'll have to play with it a bit and see how it works out.

A few more photos. Marty puts an MC.org bracelet on a young fan: (Awwww!!!) I could photograph this face for eternity. So many moods, so many nuances, such soulful eyes. He is such a beautiful man, but even more fascinating than his outward beauty is what's going on between his ears and behind his eyes. His truly original mind, deep soul, and passionate heart show through, and those are what I try my best to capture in my photos of him. (Click on the photos, then click on the little symbol that pops up in the lower right corner of each photo when you put the cursor on it, to see these full size. They really need to be seen LARGE and clear.) The next sequence is while he was singing "Creep". He explained before he started that after he finished singing it on the TV show, Tim Farris called out "You DO belong here, Mahtee!" Marty said that was too corny for even reality TV, so it was edited out before the show aired. So after his passionate performance of "Creep" at the Arboretum, Marty gave his rendition of Tim's comment. Singing "Creep" (next 2 photos): "You DO belong here, Mahtee!" This guy........is magic. Since we're supposed to post photos of ourselves wearing our Trees necklace, here's me with Marty-man at the Arboretum. (It's hard not to look dorky when standing next to that much perfection, but this is one of my somewhat less dorky photos. )

Ok Everyone! So sorry I have not had the time to post an adequate reply, glad everyone enjoyed the videos. I decided since Lyn and Nancy were there, I would focus on videos since I knew they would take care of the stills and THANK YOU for that! Well....I got there, went and bought my Trees necklace FINALLY! And then stood in line to see Marty before the show. He recognized me, which was great since I just met him for the 1st time at the show in Fort Wayne this summer, and honestly had felt like I was an idiot who didn't really say much the first time. We had a great hug, and I was so glad he had made it out of the tour alive, rightfully so, after the bleeding toes, head injury and getting his trees necklace and other stuff ripped off in South America! I had a nice conversation with him about the music on mc.org and my morning routine and how my 2 little girls come in after I've run the playlist and start demanding to hear Trees, and being 2 & 4, they mosh on my bed whole heartily in their dresses and bows singing along. He said, I'm sure you have that on video, you'll have to send it to me, because it sounds adorable! So he signs the Trees single to my girls who were ecstatic that Marty knew how to spell their names and wrote that he couldn't wait to meet them! They have listened to nothing else in the car since! (Yeah, I feel a little guilty about NOT having brought them.) I gave him a birthday present from SarasotaJenny and then I explained about my birthday present that was on behalf of A LOT of fans. The scrapbook from the Summer Tour and the idea of wanting to show him how much we all supported him and wanted him to see the whirlwind of the summer tour from our perspective and how incredibly happy he was and how evident it was through the shows and pics that fans had captured. But sadly, it wasn't quite done yet. He was shocked and surprised and couldn't believe that I would organize it and put it together and that so many fans would generously help. He told me that I had to get it from the car and show it to him after the show even though it wasn't done. The show of course, everyone has covered was absolutely amazing. I finally met Liz, Lyn, Rachel, and Cara from the radio. It's always nice to get together with the fans...I suddenly feel a little normal in my somewhat unhealthy addiction/obession/guilty pleasure! :-[I was really hoping Marty would sing Hopes and Fears Collide as it is my favorite of his new and unreleased, but I definitely loved getting to hear "Just Go" performed live. Hold On is one of my favorite LH songs and I did NOT expect him to sing it....it is a really personal song for me ( I still haven't told Marty how much it has touched my life for fearing of breaking down into a tearful mess before his eyes ) but I was able to sing along and keep the tears from flowing despite a patented Marty eye connection moment when I almost lost it. I think he could tell, as he didnt' do it again during that song, but did again later in the set. So after the show, Liz, Nancy, Lyn, Rachel, were all there looking at the work done thus far in the scrapbook when Marty comes over asking to see the book. I was so nervous, being a type A personality, it was literally killing me that it wasn't done. But, it did EXACTLY was it was supposed to...he started recalling photos, fans, and concerts and different stories from the tour. He couldn't believe how much was already done and that so many people had come together to help. So teasingly, I said "Mr. Casey, now how do I get it to you, when it is done?" To which Marty replied...." Just tell me what I have to do and I'll do it!" I said, that he needed to get his ass to Bloomington as he said, "You just get it done and let me know, and I'll be there!". I reminded him there were lots of witnesses to hold him to it. [/IMG] Sooooo.......I'm hoping to finish it before the end of this month, take pics of all the pages and get it to Marty. Once I do, I will post it online. Thank you so much to all the fans who have helped thus far by contributing photos or reviews. I still have some shows that are a little bare, so if you have anything you want to add, shoot me a PM. It isn't quite done yet and there are already over 200 pics in the album. [/IMG] Best, Adrienne

To add a little to Adrienne's story, when we were all standing around looking through the scrapbook, we came to the picture of Marty with all the blood [/IMG] . Marty said he had not seen the pic before and just looked a little . There was a quiet moment and I noticed the color of his face turning a little green...poor thing. Someone finally turned the page...... For anyone who has not seen the scrapbook it is just amazing. Great job Adrienne. It is obvious you put alot of time and hard work into it. Yeah, I think he was a little nervous about seeing it.
Adrienne - your scrapbook is amazing. You have done a beautiful job on it. I'll be looking forward to seeing the completed version.

Thanks Liz for reminding me about that part of the story. In all fairness I had warned Marty before we turned the page. The pic definitely surprised him at how gory it had appeared. I believe his direct quote was" Oh, that will be a great pic to show mom". Marty seemed to elude to the fact that his head injury was on a need to know basis to his mom. Some boys still worry about their moms...very cute. The funny part was, Tracii insisted Nancy take a pic of the bloody guitar and Marty laughed and called it his nemesis. I need to get the pic of his head and the staples from Yak I think at the Chillicothe show to complete that layout.
