Great work sunflowergypsy!!! I had a huge change in project plan's...so I might have something to post by the end of the week. I miss the board...~sigh~ I should mention nothing "bad" in my plan...just learned how to convert my file from Mac to PC. Which is funny, since I had to convert the file from PC to Mac in the first place and that was a different process.... I will never understand why format is so important...Where is Cheza?...I hope she didn't here me.LOL AHEM.... I HEARD THAT, MISSY! *just joking* I'm hoping I'll have somit to post here or in a story thread soon...with all this angst I'm feeling right now you'd think it'd be a productive writing time, but alas, 'tis not the case - all I want to do is sleep. Peace.

Star, I think I shared this with you in the past, but evidently didn't post it to the poetry thread. This is a poem that is several years old that I co-wrote with a cyber-sister (Dana) - she was Mistress Shy and I was Southern Grace in an old chat format that has long since vanished from the internet. This was written for a dear friend who was bi-polar and sent us a very emotional e-mail one morning that scared us both to death...here goes nothing.... "A Vow of Devotion" By Mistress Shy and Southern Grace Sweet Knight tis' true that time takes a toll On our lives and on our souls Yet, our empty shells can be filled with joy Passed on through us with God's Grace Through the tears that ran down Jesus' face All those years ago when He took our place Sweet Knight we humans try to fill the holes in our souls Through the vices: Sex and Drugs being our chosen poisons The vices only kill our hearts, bodies, and souls While in our confusion onward we go. When all your hope seems to fade away And you feel like you want to end it all today Just look over your shoulder and you will see Your Mistress Shy and Lady Grace waiting to help you Set your heart at ease As for a facade...we all have them. Masks we wear to cover pain and despair. There are no fakes here...only people with masks. But Dear Knight we know you are strong enough to win your battle With the evil one. All of those times that you are blue Don't be afraid to let your bad feelings show through
Love is a gift from one heart to another Whether it be to a friend, sister, or brother The ultimate love came from our heavenly Father We were chosen to help in His place To always try to put that sweet smile back on your face Please don't think that we would ever leave you there Wherever you go that makes you fall into despair In "Poem 1: of Eleven Addresses to the Lord" John Berryman wrote: "You have allowed my brilliant friends to destroy themselves and I am still here, severely damaged, but functioning." When a person self-destructs it affects everyone around them Sweet Knight--Lady Grace and Mistress Shy weep with this Acknowledgement of melancholy Torment? NO! Torment would be your exit from our lives... Sweet Knight, do not weep. And as to the comment "I lie since no one would care for a boy who is as normal as your hair..." Hair? Hair is not normal... Each strand has been blessed by the one who Created it And Each Strand is unique...just like every Human on this earth... How could you compare to us you ask? Well, we all were created by God... We all have two eyes, two ears, a nose, a mouth We all breathe air...and have a heart that beats within our breasts. As our promise to our Sweet Knight We will ban together to win this fight The skies will then be clear and free Of all your pain and misery There is no need to hide in fear
Your Lady Grace and Mistress Shy Make a vow to do what ever it takes To get our Sweet Knight to see We will always be there to help your darkness be replaced So when your heart is troubled again And you feel like your dark tunnel has no end Just call on us and we will be there To give you that loving support and let you know we care It doesn't matter what time or day We will be there with open arms to say
Cheer up our Sweet Knight please don't be sad Tommorrow there is hope anew.... Ye have nothing to fear Sweet Knight...as one of my favorite bands says "Vengeance is the Lord's"...no human has the right to Pick out the faults of another and to judge them. Arise my Sweet Knight and dry your tears...ALL IS FORGIVEN... And the Hearts of Mistress Shy and Lady Grace will be here for you... ALWAYS...That's it. Looks like we needed a major editor...sorry it's so long. Prose is more my thing, but I may come up with something for this part of the vault from time to time. Peace.

Cheza - this is so beautiful in words and actions. To care for a friend so deeply to compose this piece. These are the things that make the world a better place. Thank you for sharing.
I wrote something similar to a 12 year old perfect little girl. It is not fair that a 12 year old should have a world that is falling apart. So I will share this with you.
Call Me
On days when life seems so cruel When lonely and sadness seem to rule When no one wants to give you thought All you want is a moment caught
Turn slowly left and look inside I am right there in your heart To hold you, touch you, give an ear Just punch those numbers I’ll be there
Chorus Call me, call me I’m here for you Dial that phone They’ll put you through Call me, call me Baby, always for you Call me, call me I love you
Bridge That sunny, cold day in December Our first hug I’ll always remember I made a promise I plan to keep To love you til the end of time Protect you and keep you safe You are my bright star My ray of hope
So beautiful child My shining star Remember no matter where you are I am always with you til the end of eternity Never alone, always with me
Chorus - repeat

That is beautiful Boston...Life is hard and often unfair...I hope that your 12 year old was saved from the harshness that she faced. At least it is a wonderful thing that she had you to stand by her side. That is something that too many children do not have. Being alone is the worst feeling in the world.

Thank you ladies. Maybe I'll attempt poetry again...but right now my mind is a muddle. Hopefully the clouds hanging over me will clear before much longer. If they don't, I fear I may lose what's left of my sanity.

Cheza,
You are my dear friend. I am so sorry that you are going through this...I wrote this right now for you. It is a small gift. It is a poem to you.
Have Faith
Pray gentle soul... For all is not lost.
The rough winds may now blow, As the skies darken within the coming of a fierce storm.
Yet the storm can not last, And the sun will soon shine once more.
Remember, you are loved... Like the warmth of the first morning rays of light on your face, Feel the strength that is hope and love.
You will never be forgotten, Nor shall you ever be left alone.
Those that have silently watched you from afar, Your friends, Stand beside you in this moment of despair.
A prayer is spoken... So many voices that melt into one.
Have faith...you are not alone.

Cheza- it's like a beautiful letter you send it to comfort a tormented soul, I'm sure it worked to help your friend....and now you've got something in return from Star, who has a big heart to share and sympathy for others Boston, you truly surprised me how versatile you can be with changing your subjects so smoothly. Your last piece really touched me, and though I have no kids, it reminded me how much is there to be missed... Hugs to everybody

Thank you for that, Star. It was beautiful. Today it seems more are on my side than I initially thought...hopefully this trial will pass soon. I hope it does before May 5, or I fear my Relay experience will be somewhat diminished. Thank you for your thoughts, Iwo.

I don't know what to say about this, except I have been really blue lately.
First Kiss
It was just a twist of fate When we met on that autumn day Two lost souls not wanting to be alone Our fate forever changed in magic ways
We talked and shared our sad, sad tales Of lost love that somehow derailed Two broken hearts looking for the potion To dull the senses and kill that emotion
Your gentle lips brushed mine so soft With eyes closed so easy to get lost Like a soft wave on a summers day Lost in heaven, I wanted to stay
Softly touching your beautiful face Not sure how you fell out of grace Those blue, blue eyes looking at me Those strong arms, a safe place to be
Who knew our fate was sealed that day We never parted – never went our own way We would kiss those sweet kisses A million times more And love each other forever and ever

That was a very moving piece Boston.
Isn't strange how sometimes our sadness which we feel mare's are soul, can flow into something so beautiful on the river of the written word.
Your words are indeed beautiful. Yet, I hope that this sadness does pass and you are happy once more. Big hugs and friendship.
