Okay, this one's really bad. The first few times I heard "Casualty", I thought "the battle's inside of me" was "horizons in sodomy." I kept listening and thinking, "what the hell?" I'm glad they included lyric booklets with the cd. OMG !!!! okay, in Clouds my daughter always sings, Shoop Shoop Oh Way Yeah. (she even calls it the Shooop Shoop song) i make so many mistakes, it's embarrassing. In Tunnel instead of You had to die to get discovered" i sang (LOUDLY) "you left town to get discovered" not nearly as poetic!

Confusion - Whenhe sings "I can't be for certain that she exists as a person Yet she's sleeping in my bed." I thought it was "that she exists as a virgin" Even though I know the right words, I find myself still singing virgin.

Here's one of my bloopers: In the Tunnel I sing "Be careful" instead of "Peek-a-boo" ROTFLMFAO..... Oh, hahahahahaha. This one is KILLING me. Only because I can totally hear it now that you mentioned it. I can't remember what I used to think he was saying. (or, I just won't admit it)

Ok, so then I thought... in the Riddle... somewhere in the middle of doubt (which is right) was supposed to be somewhere in the middle of town (which is not right), and thought my version was so much better ;D then today I finally got around to reading the lyrics and my version (sic) was actually the correct one and thus suddenly became not mine.. I'm totally nuts you know, but am now blaming it on Marty and the boys

I might be Somewhere in the middle of town..

in clinc, i thought he was saying livin' life in a coma!! how does that even make sense? It is "Living Life In A Coma - Let Me Out". That line says to me that he's living his life in a coma or living like a zombie and wants out of it. Do you ever feel like you're just going through the motions in life and want out of the rut that you're in? Not sure what the song means, but this is what I think it might mean... He could be talking about a relationship that has gone stale with either a girl (the one that he wrote Trees about) or it could be the relationship with the band. I think it's because of a relationship with a girl because one of the lyrics says, "not afraid to fly - with you." If he were talking about the band, wouldn't he say us? "You" sounds better for the song, so who knows..

Okay. I always thought the line
Better Off Walk Away
was
Fade the F**k Away
I still hear it that way and have to remind myself.

I think Marty likes to play with words ... "Know where to be found" is just as good as "nowhere to be found" ... also "My eyes can't see what is wrong with me" could also be "My eyes can't see. What is wrong with me?"
I've had lots of words I couldn't figure out, but I keep on hearing the beginning of "Straight as an Arrow" as "Hindsight is 20/20" instead of "My sight is 20/20" ...

Also, on Clouds it sounds like he says "shoo, shoo away" not "shoot, shoot away" I guess because of his Chicago accent? Farther up CHK said her daughter calls it the "shoop, shoop song." I think it sounds like that too. ;D

I know this thread has been here a while, but I think it would make more sense to put it in the Hammerheads section. I'm going to move it now.
Thanks.

in "Hold On" I didn't know it said this: All the eyes of tears you cry, Beautifully they stain your face
I thought it said "all the hours of tears you cry, beautifully they stain your face", AND I kept expecting him to say "eyes" in place of "face."
