I would suggest that you read the blog to get a sense of their style. It is pretty "smartass" funny. I stayed up past midnight last night reading their running commentaries of RSINXS. Wish I had known of this blog then. Sure brought back some memories. And....you can see a clip of Marty singing "Arms Wide Open" from the show.

if you dig Chicago-style humor (see Vince Vaughn, John Belushi, Bill Murray, hundreds more including all Second City alums,) then Leperpopblog is a must read. Funny as hell. Now what were we talking about? Oh, wrong lyrics. Do you know, I kept singing "the power's inside of me" instead of "the battle's inside of me"? And "nobody's different here no more" instead of "nobody's safe round here no more."? At least I didn't change the meaning too much. *blushes* And speaking of Casualty, I was on a teadmill, watching Olympic highlights on a Japanese station (don't ask) while listening to Casualty. It was pretty cool watching snowboarders wipe out to that tune. It needs to be on a sports show or a war movie soundtrack IMHO.

Velvet - I keep singing "distance, Houston" instead of "distance, you stand." Morphine - My hubby thinks every time he says "then he" it's "Lenny", their drug dealer.

I always sing "dance in my room alone" at the opening of Call of Distress, instead of "days in my room alone", I know the real words but they always seem to escape me.

"Something something down to the middle...doo doo doo, yes it do..." That's how I sang it before I knew it was called "The Riddle" LOL That's close to what I thought it was! I thought it was, "There's got to be something more to the MIDDLE..." ;D Funny stuff.

It's - and wiiiill sheeee giveitup giveitup. I forgot about this thread. But I was re-reading it and thought it was time to fess up. For the longest time I thought they were saying--"I'm melting" rather than "and will she" in Give it up I still sing it that way sometimes. I guess it's a Wizard of Oz thing. ;D

I found I was singing yet another one wrong "like a scared child under the blankets" I'm sorry to report that the child was a stepchild in my version.... My version is dorkier ... "Like a skecher under the blankets" I used to think how it is to be compared like half a pair of shoe hiding under the blankets

My Mom use to say that to me when she caught me on something. Its an old saying "got eyes in the back of my head". Then Marty says "and I know what you did". He didn't like what she did thats for sure. I just love Marty' lyrics. I totally agree with you about 'kiss is like a handshake'...she gives them out like they are nothing special. So he asks "what about me?" What does "Got eyes in the back of my head, and I know what you did" refer to.....?? I'm thinking it's about the prescription papers!
