Hi Everyone, I'm a newbie here too... I'm Maggie from NY... happily married old lady that is totally smitten with the talents of Marty... you may have seen me on other boards... Lately just can't get enough of him!!! It is soooooooo cool to finally have a REAL Rock Star to actually want to follow the career of and just look at and wish I was younger - LOL. I feel like a teenage groupie!

Hello all from San Fran! I discovered the Hammers by paying attention to Marty on the Prefab Show, and I wondered about what his band was like. They are FANTASTIC and Marty has done the right thing to participate in the Prefab Show so that people all over the world will notice - there is still a place for people who want to rock out!
My favorite Marty number was Mr. Brightside. But Hammer's Rain on the Brain is just great!!!

Hi Traci! I'm from Steeler country too! Maybe we can be the lead cheering section when Mr Casey comes to the 'burg! I'm married, live out in the country and really enjoyed rockin and rolling in the living room on Tuesdays and Wednesdays! c-ya! LuAnn Hi LuAnn! Nice to meet another Marty/Steeler fan. ;D (I'm actually closer to Philly than Pittsburgh, but there are A LOT of Steeler fans here, too!) I'm freaking out because I have a wedding to attend tomorrow and won't be able to watch the game...ugh! Why must these people get married on Sunday?! lol

Hi! My name is Babs: let me introduce myself. I am like a lot of you and really don't care for reality shows. The first night of Rockstar INXS my husband turned the show on I halfway paid attention until Marty came on. I said then he's the one for INXS. I never missed a show after that. I even hid the remote from "MR KING of the remote' I think he finally figured out what was going on and just gave up. Nobody call and don't ask me to do anything during the hour the show was on. I couldn't wait to see Marty perform It made my week. I probably have most of you beat in age I am 60 years old but still a rock lover at heart. I will be in the store and a good song will come over the sound system and I will just be moving and swaying. People look at me like "to much Geritol today lady". I just look at them smile and keep on swaying. I can remember on several occassions during the voting process when I was up for 2 or 3 hours voting for Marty. When I went to work the next day and was not furnctioning as usual and someone would say "party last night and didn't get to sleep till 9PM." I would just tell them I was up half the night persuing a younger man. Being on a message board is another first for me. I am a very determined when I believe in a cause or think something is right, "as my husband says "hardheaded." I strongly believe that a person who has the charisma and talent of Marty Casey should receive all the support, enthusiasm and acknowledge we can give. That includes making sure the rest of the World gets to see what a great guy he is. I intend to do everything I can to help see that happens. Because I believe in Marty. Babs

Hi all, It's Lulu from the RS boards and I just want to express my thanks to INXS for introducing me (not to mention others around the globe) to the new sensation: MARTY CASEY (and the Lovehammers I am in full support of Marty's career and would LOVE to see him live--I may even head to Chicago soon to see him in a small venue. Thanks!

I am Marlene (aka irishgal here and on "another board") and I am a Marty-holic. I am happy, no...make that ecstatic...that this is NOT a 12-step program to overcome my addiction. I love my addiction and refuse to give it up! The only "giving up" I'll do is the applause, the screams, and singing along with Marty and the LH while they're onstage, and nothing else. OK, if Marty just happened to run into me on the street and looked at me...but that's another story for another thread. I'm so glad to be here, the site is great ladies...keep it up!

Hi everyone ...
I was/am Lustn4Marty on the RSINXS boards and Lovehammers and Marty boards on Yahoo. What a fantastic site this is ... it just might make Marty withdrawal slightly more bearable, if that's possible.
Anyway, its just great to be able to chat with other fans of the Mysterious Yearning Seductive Loving Musical Gifted Intelligent Beautiful Tender Sensitive Hauntingly Passionate Talented Rockin' Mr. Casey.
That's all for this post, but at least it's a start.

Hello all! I am 42 yrs old from southern Wisconson, almost on the Illinois border and have never heard of the Lovehammers or Marty Casey till Rock Star INXS. First time I saw the advertisement for the show, I thought,"Good Lord, what next!" Well a few weeks later flipping through the channels and stopped on the show and I spotted Marty right away. He seemed the most fitting person to be their lead singer. I am so much happier knowing that Marty did not win, although it broke my heart (and pissed me off!) when he did not win. BUT...he will be able to still tour with them AND be true to his own style of music, which is what he desired to do all along...to not change! I wish this handsome young man all the luck in the world,he is a wonderful singer & performer. Rock On Marty!

ok... here is the thing... Not all fans are females... and NO I"m not gay... Marty has such range, presence and intensity that he is by far the best that I've heard in numerous years... I'm an old fart that enjoys the hell out of his music... whether with rockstar:INXS or the Lovehammers... personally, I'd love to see Dave Nevarro collaborate on a new recording with the Lovehammers... I have always thought they needed another geetar I'm from the era of : The Who, Zepplin, Scorpions, GnR, and other such greats... and I've never experienced the same intensity that comes across when Marty sings... he has proven time and again that he can sing ANYTHING and sometimes do better than the original... That being said... I do believe that they tried to "set him up" when it came to the "hit me baby" song... and Marty totaly rocked it beyond expectation... Not that that song is my fav... Honestly... Creep just seems to go over and over in my frickin head...

I everyone!! My name is Dina and I'm a huge Marty and Love Hammers fan. I'm from Texas married with two little girls, almost 6 and 3.
I've loved Marty from day one on Rockstar INXS. I'm one of those over 18 gals, actually 40 and feel like I'm in high school again. He's got such the "IT" factor you just can't help but love him. I really love the MOMM and L'Strange CD's. I was really upset when he didn't win, but now that I realize he'll be able to be himself with his band he'll be so much happier and so will we.

Yes yes Creep is a good song, but I have a 5 yr old singing TREES,as well as her mama. I cannot get that song out of my head! He totally kicked butt with" Wish You Were Here "as well as "Mr. Brightside". Hoping they will come out with a CD of all the "Marty songs" from the show.

G'day everyone, My name is Helen. I am 42 years young and from Melbourne, Australia. I love Marty and his style of music, can't wait for INXS to tour just to see Marty do his 'own' thing. I am glad he didn't win as we can now see what Marty can really do, being the lead singer of INXS would've cramped his own unique style. Look forward to many posts on this forum, great to see so many Marty fans of all ages. Cheers, Helen.

Hi there from New Zealand,
I posted quite a bit in the RS:INXS forum so hi to everyone who knows me from there.
I just love that all Marty's fans just love him so much. What is it about our long, lean rock machine that moves us so?
I have fallen so madly and so deeply that I wonder how I can possibly go back to my ordinary life.
I tuned in to the show by accident, stuck around to see what was happening and then he appeared. It was Arms Wide Open. I can't explain it but I was smitten straight away.
It is his generosity as a performer I think. I have said this before but he always gives us something of himself. It is always real and honest and so personal. It is like he trusts us with his pain, his sorrow, his joy, his anger, his hope. It is as if he knows that we will receive it all and share it with him without judgement. We will just love him.
That, and he is a seriously delicious man.
Anyway, fellow Treehuggers, Peachlovers and Koolaiders...
Long live Marty Casey. May his star continue to shine and his life be full of love, laughter and dreams-come-true.
Peace
Palari
