Just to put in my two cents....Josh was the standout for me. I love the tone of his voice, and he did a great job with a great song. He seems comfortable just being who he is. I just did not like Dilana at all. I respect that she was doing something different with the song, but I don't like her voice, and I hated how she jumped around at the end. I thought Patrice, Toby and Lukas were good too. I am looking forward to seeing more of all of them. It's hard to really know from just one performance!

I like the Australian guy, but don't know if I'm biased just because he's gorgeous.

I like Toby too and partially because he's hot, for sure. I do, however, think he has a nice voice and a pretty good background. |

I'm not excited about this new crop of performers........yet. Maybe as time goes along, someone will really stand out. In the meantime, I do enjoy watching and listening to Dave and Tommy ;D. ps - I did think Matt had the better vocals of the bottom three but sang the WRONG song.  |

I still can not get on the Rockstar sight....is anyone else having problems or has my husband locked me out?? They designed the homepage to be flash, so if you don't have it installed, you can't load the page.  Stupid...if you ask me. I have DSL and it takes a really long time to load, so if you have a slow connection, you're pretty much screwed. So, does anyone think Chris can pick a good song and save himself next week?? So far I think he's my favorite, even though both of his performances were bad..........But when he was in the studio with the band he sounded AWSOME!!! I hope he can pick a song that can showcase his voice more.

The new RS site is a lot slower than last year's due to all the animation (which I find a colossal waste of time).
I also agree that this year's crop isn't as interesting as last year's. Some of them are more of the AI type than RS (Dana, specifically). There's no Marty in the bunch. I'm going out on a limb and predicting the final four: Josh, Toby, Lukas, and Dilana.
While wandering around the site, I found out that MCLH are performing at a bunch of RS concert events, with Mink (Neal's new band) and MIG (is that MiG?). I can't believe that the only way to get tickets is through the online contest ... and I hope that isn't what Marty meant when he said that he will be guesting and performing on the show ...

It's been so long since I've been on this site that I forgot how to post! Anyway, I tivoed both wed/thursday's RS show, mostly because I LOVED last year's show so much that I didn't want to ruin the feeling by watching a bunch of wannabees and Tommy Lee try to be controversial reality show stars instead of REAL singers. But I drummed up the courage to watch it and I was mildly impressed with the lot. Girls are all pretty and busty which is perfect for tommy lee. Guys are all weirdos trying to stand out as the Marty Casey of the group with all the talk of "I'm just being true to who I am....", when you know they're really not (and marty Casey really was).
So, my bottom three left standing for the whole thing in September = "Hot Guy" Australian dude, "Whacked out" chick from Africa, and the "Robert Smith" alternative short guy from Canada (who's Rebel Yell kicked ass, by the way). Final pick for the band, the Hot Guy. He sounds exactly like Sammy Hagar and his good looking enough to stand in front of those guys on a bedroom poster.
Of course, I would've put money on Marty Casey winning the whole thing last year, so what do I know?? Hope everyone enjoys the new summer rollercoaster ride that is Rock Star: Supernova! I'll be waiting for MCLH to come to VA....

Aw, man. Why did Lukas have to bust out with some JD behavior??? I can't help but still like him, though. I kinda like him but I keep thinking troll when i look at him.......... does anyone else.......I think it is his hair and his size. but he does sing good. YES!!! The first thing I thought when I saw him was "demonic troll". I did enjoy his performance though. But then I turned on him again with that crap he pulled in the house. My favorite so far is Dalana. Can't wait to see more from her. |

I just finished watching the second reality show ... so far, the song selections this year include Lithium (Marty), Roxanne (Suzie), You Really Got Me (Marty), Somebody Told Me (Ty), If You Could Only See (Brandon), and Take Me Out (Marty). Of all the songs in the universe, why are they doing so many of the same songs that were done last year?
