I totally agree. I hated it when Gene Simmons did it and I hate it even more when a chick does it. At least it's not pierced along with everything else on her face! The guys over at LeperPop were having some fun with that ... they said she'd better see her dentist because her fillings were dripping out of her chin.

I thought that the females were strongest after the first show, but I'm not really thrilled with anybody at the moment male or female. Everybody is trying to be overly dramatic, maybe because Dilana's weirdo act got the encore last week??
If the rockers just give what THEY have to offer to the song they choose the passion will come across, instead of all these imitations and trying to do what they think Supernova wants to hear.
Storm - I think she has potential, didn't like her performance much last night
Magni - liked what he did with the song, still don't know about the image
Toby - he was my favorite from last night
Jenny - I don't mind her, but she's not hard core for the band
Dana - I actually thought she did alright
Patrice - I like her, she's got a good voice, didn't think last night was her best though, hard to picture her fronting Supernova at the moment
Dilana - I had high hopes after seeing her rehearsal but was disappointed she went all weird with the tongue thing and her outfit
Jill - 3 words, Bride of Chuckie
Phil - just not getting him
Ryan - don't care for him either
Josh - nope
Chris - please go home
Zayra - Is she somehow related to Mark Burnett or something?? I also thought she looked like Celine Dion
Lukas - he was pretty gravelly and hard to understand last night
Nobody is really blowing my socks off yet. I am really hoping that Supernova will eliminate about 4 people tonight and get down to business.

well, i thought this was everyone's so-so week. Nobody really stepped it up. Some of my thoughts for what it's worth: Magni --better than I expected this week Ryan: trying too hard to be Bruce Springsteen. Not buying it. Patrice: looks like a suburban mom. I am not sure why the band is so high on this woman. Josh: Worst version of Arms ever. God I miss Marty. Dilana: If I only listened it was great. When I watched I was wondering why she was doing the 3 witches out of Macbeth. Double double toil and trouble... OMG--I agree w/everything you wrote--it's like you read my mind!! Jill: I knew I didn't want to hear this. Seeing it was even worse than I expected. Lukas: Can anyone understand him when he sings? I wish he could enunciate or something. Mostly I wish he looked a little better. I liked Jenny's Tainted Love and Storm's Surrender --both fun. Toby did well on Somebody Told Me. Zayra: there are no words. just groans. hope everyone knocks it off with the weird costume thing. A very boradway kinda night, but no curtain calls from me, I am afraid. If someone was forcing me to say which performers are okay  ..I'd have to pick Toby and Magni. The women aren't cutting it this time and most of the guys aren't either. There's always next week though. ;D |

I have to say after last week's performances, I almost didn't watch last night but was somewhat surprised that at least some of the rockers did much better. Most notably, Jenny, Patrice (a good job on guitar), and Jody just about hit it out of the park! Lukas is growing on me, but he has a long way to go. He does have intensity but not much else. Can't get past Dilana's looks , but the super rockers seem to love her. Can't see it myself. Must be too old, I guess. So, I guess for now Toby is my favorite.. |

toby is my fave right now ,patrice was good,liked ryan.dilana scares me and dont like her,zayra sounded too nasaly and cant carry a tune even if it had handles on it but lmao when supernova and dave were brutal with their comments last night.the rest of them sucked also and im not digging this season at all they better show more talent or there wont be another season next year.

Just my 2c.. I saw almost the whole show last night, but fell asleep at the very end. It's so disappointing this time, right down to Brooke's continual modeling for the boudoir and her lack of originality while emceeing...let's give it up, let's make some noise..blah blah Cannot stomach the pierced-face-psycho look of Dilana. Maybe she should sing Creep... Don't the producers realize that we loved Marty Casey's versions of these songs? What are they thinking? Sorry but the show is not working. P.S. To add insult to injury, the website crashes my computer to the point I have to cold boot it, so forget about watching the episodes or voting like last year. |

I had to come out of lurker mode ( one of those people you're askeered of- LOL) to comment on this year's show- SO BAD! I don't own a TV but have watched what has been available on-line. After seeing the one guy (Chris?) do Take Me Out I had to go back and watch Marty's version again- is it just that our Marty is SUPER UBER talented (which IMO he is) or does that guy really suck that bad?  Please oh please don't let someone do Man Who Sold the World- no one in this group will be able to touch Jordis' rendition from last year. Guess the studio decided they had paid enough for the rights to last year's music so this year will be a lot of song recycling. As always, I enjoy reading all the excellent commentary here and on other threads! Dimitri- I lurk but you don't have to be askeered of me |

LOL same here dimitri! after watching last night, i felt the urgent need to watch Marty's performances last year or I'd go crazy! really tried hard to like someone... dilana comes the closest so far... if only she'd lose the tongue-thing... and toby too... well, at least my daughter liked Storm's pigtails... |
