The "Z" girl is either completely clueless or she has a very large pair of balls to do the same song again. The bands reaction was more entertaining then her second version although I would say it was better then her first.

First off, love your Marty pic beachgirl!!
Stiletto - I loved H.R. PuffnStuff - now I can't get the theme song out of my mind - maybe they should add it to the Rockstar catalogue - at least is would be something different from last year
The only reason I can think of why "Z" is still there is because the guys didn't want to look like poor sports about her strange comments from the previous night. She was definitely the worst.
Earplugs for next week.

This is when I am very grateful for DVR ... I can fast forward through the crap, which unfortunately is most of it. I have no interest in seeing any performance again, and I haven't checked out the website, either. I'll watch strictly out of curiousity but overall, these guys are pretty boring. Except for Zayra. She's not boring, she's just annoying.
I pick Lukas, Toby and Dilana as the final three, only because eveyone else is mediocre in both the talent and personality departments.
During the performances, many of the ones watching look surly and disengaged (especially Ryan and Phil) ... don't they get that they are on camera?

I know he wasn't a board favorite, but I liked Chris.
I think it sucked that Tommy Lee was too chicken sh** to do the right thing and send Zayra home.
Her performance was by far the worst one of all. She didn't attempt to do a different song and what was up with that screachy thing she did. Oh, and don't even get me started on her ridiculous outfits.
Come on guys, its obvious she isn't right for Supernova, so why keep her around.

Neither she nor Chris was going to win, so why keep the guy that is only a pale, pale, pathetic imitation of someone else? At least Z is doing her own thing (wildly insane and ridiculous as it is.) Did you see Gilby and the boys just LOVING watching her? They just can't wait to see what she does, or says, next. Don't get me wrong. I think she's terrible, and completely deluded. But at least she isn't up there kissing SuperNova's asses and imitating the guy that everyone loved from last season. (Miss you Marty!) |

I loved how ridiculous Z was while Jill was singing! She was throwing a temper tantrum. Gilby is my hero.
Is it me or does Dave hate all the contestants? He has NEVER been this mean before. Don't get me wrong, I love it.

Hammerhub thought they didn't kick Z-Girl off because it would have looked like they did it for her attitude (stupidity). HELLO? It's their show. Didn't T Lee remind them all of that after the crybaby stuff? I thought Chris could have improved. His song wasn't too bad. I haven't seen the reality stuff, but someone said he's not serious about listening to their critique and learning (we all know that worked for Marty). |

They kept Z for the entertainment value. Neither she nor Chris was going to win, so In essence, that's exactly what I was saying about Someone Else for most of last summer — right up till about 10:45 Eastern time on the night of September 20th. Though I'm thrilled that LH emerged intact, on some level I'll never understand what INXS was thinking when they went that route. In other words, when I saw gingerpyle's post above, I had to admit that the same thought had crossed my mind too   Ah, Burnett. Anything's possible |

Ahem! Gone AWOL for a while, so I have the right to a long post  While absolutely no one this year comes even this close to Marty (or even JD) at the moment, I have to say that Dilana's voice is unique, she has a great charisma and personality (so she's not hot and she has witch clothes...But I feel that she is REAL) The others had better applied for American Idol /Zayra and the guy who went out first) or an imitators contest (Storm is Jessica v 2.0, Jill is Suzie v 2.0 etc, Chris wanted to be Marty v 2.0 in his dreams..) I quite like Phil, but he is more "British" than "American", he looks like Brett from Suede and is sweet - read: has nothing to do with Supernova. I don't like Fat Toby, I don't understand what women find in him... Marty, where are you sweetie I think Jenny has a great figure, but alas, no personality at all. Magni is Meh, the guy with a Springsteen vibe (what's his name) is good but would be more suited to be a solo artist. Frankestein Jr (Lukas) hurts your eyes, has personality, stage command, and some talent, but not the best voice. I thought that AI's Chris Daughtry was more rock than several of these people. Finally: Jason Newsted obviously want to keep Zayra so that he can do her. That MUST be the only reason she's still around. |

Oh, I forgot SuperNova: these people are WAY better musicians and judges than INXS. They are more fun and have more ego fits (especially Jason Newsted, he looks like Abe Lincoln and cracks me up...I am old enough to remember his whirling red mohican at the Metallica gigs)... Tommy Lee is starting to show his age and no amount of makeup covers the bags under his eyes, but, although he's never been the brightest bulb around, he is sweet and "simpatico", Gilby is cruel (honest) with a smile. Dave is always "I-made-a-pact-with-the-Devil" gorgeous and I have the impression that Burnett & Co. have told him to channel more Simon Cowell this year...He was way too sweet last year.

They are more fun and have more ego fits I agree that they are more fun, but they seem a lot less "professional" in their approach than INXS did. People were eliminated when they should have been last year; I had no quarrel with the order of elimination. But to keep Zayra and get rid of Chris had more to do with hormones than with talent (not that Chris has much talent, but Zayra is awful, at least in this context. She's a Karen O wannabe, without the humor and style, IMO.) |

Right there with you on the above points. I'm certainly old enough to appreciate this group for who they truly are. I thought I'd drop over when "Z" stated she was in diapers.... I've decided that she's still there because MB wants her for there to to keep things stirred up. She's the JD of this year, although he at least had some talent. Either that or their philosophy is two strikes and you're out! Guess we shall have to see. |

Lukas is definitely the JD of this year, although without the looks and charm. Zayra just sucks. It seems to me that the contestants all feel they should talk back to the "judges" after their comments -- they have more attitude during the assessment than during their performances. And they aren't exactly becoming fast friends like the group last year --it's definitely all competition.
I have to disagree about Supernova being better judges than INXS. One reason I liked last year's show was that it wasn't mean-spirited. And I want more dave, whether he's being nice or not.

Nice? Who is nicer than Mig? Even Marty has said there is nobody nicer than Mig. I will always remember this past March when he came to Chicago to see Paula. I could say that there is no comparison with last season's contestants in talent and character except we are not really given the opportunity to see them in as many different situations this season. The "nice" moments may be on the cutting room floor to get better ratings. If I remember right, one of the criticisms of last year's show by one TV critic is that they did get along so well and that made it boring to watch...ratings were low. The only thing worth watching to him was Marty's performances. Phil improved from the previous week. I think that Toby will get the job since Tommy keeps referring to the women liking him so much. Chris was boring. At least Zayra stirred up things for TV. 45's... ....  ? She said that she heard "of" them and not that she had heard their music. The next night she said she had their "45s". She must have used them for teething rings since she had never actually heard their music.  Den |
