Hi, Everyone! I'm sorry for being gone a while. I'm having cable modem issues, and I have forgotten what it's like to surf the 'net on dial-up (i.e. - HELL!) Anyway, I wanted to pop by, say HI HI HI to you all and invite you to participate in a new poll that I have posted over at Lovehammers.com: www.lovehammersforum.com/viewtopic.php?p=116866#116866This poll is basically just asking for your input as to whether or not you plan to eat at Hammerjam. any body posting for plans on meeting up at the airport and traveling together to the hotels? just wondering I'm gonna post my arrival date time and airport tomorrow and hope others do so that we can make arragements to travel together to save a few bucks.......... I know Diva said something about shuttles but I haven't heard anything about the shuttles has anyone else?  ?? Good questions. No shuttle company works with a travel agents-they deal direct to the public so basically we are each on our own to make these arrangements. Another problem is that less than half attending gave me their airport arrival info too. I guess it came down to me just being the keeper of the list of everyone attending by OC and I checking all the posts in all threads on this board an Lh.com etc. So it only helps people save $$ if they want to group together at the airport in baggage claim and get one shared shuttle--you save only a few $$ over what you'd pay as a single on a shared shuttle anyway. Or if you group together and do a taxi--that will save if split 4 or 5 ways etc. But for me--last time at Pearl room, Jodie and I did the train from Ohare, and I plan to do it again--its $2.00 and faster than a taxi in rush hour traffic on a Friday night. And I plan to do this again. If enough request it, I can list the names and phone numbers of shuttle companies, or pm me and I can tell you who I know is arriving within an hour of you at the airport but its easy to just hit the info kiosk in baggage claim and they'll tell you how much a shuttle is and where to wait for it or how to catch the train! It became more work for not alot of $$ saved for people (I mean we are talking $2 savings per person for shared shuttles) currently for me to deal with this portion of the travel since my personal life got busier recently. I'll start a new thread? with just arrival and location times? I'f we just list, then everyone can look and pm people, or at least know. If we keep the chit chat off of it, it will be easier to read and find matches. Hope thats ok.
