Yesterday's comments were mostly positive, though. I didn't see anything hateful or vile. I saw some anger, but I think it was to be expected. That's why I think silencing fans who aren't brimming with love for Marty Casey is a mistake. Ask yourself WHY they have an opinion. People don't have opinions about things they DON'T care about. Most artists (musical, visual, whatever) would tell you they don't mind it if their work (or actions) inspire love OR hate... as long as it inspires something passionate and honest. Very few artists want the response they evoke to be NICE... because nice is BORING... and boring just makes people lose interest and move on to other things that are more interesting. NICE & BORING don't fill sell tickets and pay the bills.

I'm not advocating slanderous attacks and threats of bodily harm, OBVIOUSLY. I do believe in the value of debate, though... and the value of controversy. For those of you who are so devoted to SUPPORTING Marty right now... please keep in mind that a bit of controversy is often good for the bottom-line... and people don't argue about things they don't care about. If you're really interested in SUPPORTING this man's career, you should be more concerned about people NOT caring enough to argue about him or make snarky comments about his blog. You should fear DISINTEREST, not DISSENT.

I am all for individuality Julianah, which is a major part of the reason I fell for Marty from day one.

I am not suggesting you should pretend to be like the other kids at all, I am politely trying to say we fully support Marty here at the org (or .com as I will never get used to saying ) and we don't really care about any debate as to the choices he makes in his life. Its his life to live just our lives are for us to live.

We are here to support him and to nurture the relationships we have forged because we found him on that reality show.

This is my first and only public opinion about all the crap that has been thrown around the boards on this subject and the reason why I have only posted twice since it all began...

...its all crap...get the hell over it...its Marty's life and he's goddamn happy by what he has to say in this latest blog. He's excited and bursting with enthusiasm about something he believes in.

I absolutely love him to death for taking a chance on an adventure that may or may not work out...WHO CARES..he's out there and he is living his life the way he wants too...

...and I'm pretty goddamn sure his mum, dad and family loves him no matter what the choices he makes and I think in the end that all that really matters to him...or any of us.

You quoted something I wrote 3 days ago. My intention was not to upset anyone. If it upset you, for whatever reason, I apologize.

At the time, I was respectfully posting my opinion in the midst of everyone else's opinions... without getting heated, using expletives, or being mean-spirited... and I DID move on. You and I just disagree and I'm cool with that. We're adults... not kids on a playground.

I don't think other people's opinions are "all crap" and if some people aren't ready to "get the hell over it", that's their prerogative, whether I share their views or not.

I'm sure his family loves him no matter what and that's probably what's most important to him. I agree with you completely about that.

I don't love anyone to death, but I've never said I don't wish Marty all the best. In fact, I believe I've stated the opposite on more than one occasion in the past few weeks.

I'm glad you could hold your tongue - I thought I could also. But I just felt I had to comment.

Jet, if you had a friend who did something that hurt other friends, would you just step back and say "I love that friend, so I'm going to support them wholeheartedly and not criticize them for hurting my other friends"? I (and Julianah), have never said we can't support Marty. What we have said is that we criticize the WAY he did it. He hurt three other guys (5 actually), who have publically said they were shocked, hurt and saddened by his move. What happens from that definitely is between them. But I can tell Marty I'm not happy with the way he did it, while I still hope the best for him. I don't see anything contradictory in that. This move may be the best thing for him - I hope it turns out that way. I had my doubts at the beginning, but I've been willing to give him the benefit of the doubt and hope he changes my mind.

That's why I traveled 4 hours north to see him in Green Bay and turned around with no sleep to drive 4 hours back home. I'm still not won over, but that could be because of the bad sound system. I will give LA Guns another chance.

So if you think I'm full of crap, and I'm the "smelly girl" too, then I'm really sorry you feel that way. I'm sorry that you think the only way to support Marty is to support him 100% and that no one can criticize him when he does or says something hurtful because everything he does MUST be perfect - he couldn't do anything else. He may not be hurting me, but he's hurting other people I care for. And I won't stop criticizing him when he does those things, even while I am watching him perform and enjoying his performance, and hoping for hugs from him after the shows.

And I hope my friends would do the same for me if I ever said anything hurtful to someone else. Because that's what friends do.

I don't stop loving or supporting the people I love because they make choices I may or may not agree with. If I don't agree with their choice and it impacts on some else I love, then I privately discuss the issue with them instead of passing judgement and offering criticisms that aren't helpful to anybody.

I do beleive the only way to support Marty is 100%, the same as I support all the people I love...unconditionally.
