Magni is still my favorite. IMHO he's the best vocalist of the group. He certainly isn't the best looking nor the most charasmatic, but I think he is the most talented. Will he win? No. Tsk tsk Supernova! Lukas - I'm getting tired of him. Yes, he looks the part and has a great stage presence....and tons of charisma. I'm getting tired of his growly voice and lack of vocal range. I enjoy a singer displaying confidence, but he seems to border on egotistical. It's starting to bug. "Check please".....is that good or bad? C'mon Tommy! Ryan - I'm not buying his act. He's good at times, but doesn't come across as authentic. Dilana - I'm growing tired of her too. Everything she sings sounds the same. She hasn't, won't, or can't change it up. About the only thing she changes are some of the ridiculous Elvira outfits. She started strong and has begun a downward slide caused by her ego. Toby - kicked ass this week! I loved his arrangement. Sorry Gilby. Another good one, but probably won't win. Being easy on the eyes doesn't hurt. Patrice - Wake me up before you go go. Who am I forgetting? Oh, Storm. 'Nuf said. She's a poser. Stuff that bugged this week: SN digging on Magni about no guitar playing (when they dissed others FOR playing last week); Ryan trying to break the guitar with an "I didn't plan that just because you said it to Magni two minutes ago" look on his face; the camera focusing on Magni awaiting a response to Ryan's antics. Big bonus points lost for Ryan on being too obvious. SN continually being wishy-washy on their comments to the rockers. It's painfully obvious that they have no clue what they want.....they're just on a publicity train. I wish this board had a spell check!

COGGERS I LOVE THE GREG BRADY LINE...that killed me!!!! I must say though much to my surprise I did enjoy Ryan's original song...I just think he's missing that "it' factor...if that makes sense...might do well on his own though....and the throwing of the guitar...ok he lost me there ....
Dilana ...what a waste...I was all for her in the beginning but now the ego is outweighing the talent...and yes frightening costume choice....
Toby...thought he was great but I don't see him fronting this band...they don't want someone better looking to get all the chicks...and hey maybe that's a good thing for Toby as I"m not so sure SN will have a huge fanbase anyway.
Lukas...I think he did alright, could have been better...he seems to be trying harder....but he's extremely annoying...however I think he is definitely going to be in the final 3
Magni...awesome as always...especially since he was supposedly ill....I'm sure his wife hates Storm after her 'brotherly' lap dance...yikes can anyone say UNCOMFORTABLE! Call me crazy but I think Magni is going to be the winner...ok maybe wishful thinking because I can't stand Dilana anymore...but he seems the most level headed and best fit at this point...I may be an SN fan if he wins...
Storm...um bye bee-otch...can't deal with her anymore...she's on the wrong show but trying to be that tough rocker chick...it's just plain BOOOOOOOORING...has a great voice and immense talent but trying too hard to fit in where she clearly doesn't....broadway all the way.
Patrice...actually liked her original...not enough to buy it but I liked it even with the DEFINITE go-go's factor...um she's gone...we're all aware of that...at least she got to show her original to the world...whatever that will do...and yes she wins for most hideous smile...
that's my take on it...for whatever that's worth!!!!! Still doesn't hold a candle to last season...but really...did any of us think it would? Definitely entertaining tv though!

I voted last night for these three Lukas, Magni and Toby. I thought they were the best of the bunch. Sorry for those you just don't get it, but Lukas excites me. He is just the right amount of edgy and ego. I like him a lot. No, he doesn't get the Marty Love or the all night voting effort I put in last year for our boy....but I like him. He is my fav on RS:SN so I vote for him.
Magni sounded good to me and I liked his performance. I don't give a roaring rats ass whether Cobain played a guitar or not while singing that song...why should I? Kurt Cobain defined this song. Magni should do his own thing with it and he did. Shame on TLee for making the most irrelevant comment of the night.
Toby... who I am usually just ok about. He kicked ass last night and I LOVED his take on Layla. And Layla is probably in my alltime Top 10 fav rock songs. So way to go Toby. That was a great rendition.
NONE of the women moved me last night. They were the "same as they ever were" (props to David Byrne). And Ryan didn't do it for me either.... he kinda scares me and not in a good way.

Thank you Cindy! I seriously don't think Lukas even takes his own arrogance seriously. That's what I get from him-he knows he looks like a cocky bastard, so he plays it up. I think he's too snarky to be pure arrogance, like Dilana is turning into.
Yeah, I didn't understand reaming Magni about not doing it the way Kurt did. No one can redo Cobain, so why bother trying? First they don't want a guitar, now they do.
And Chk-I know, I don't have loyalty to one performer this season, though I do have a favorite. While I do love many of the performers, there's no one real standout. I love Lukas, and would go to one of his shows, but I wouldn't follow him as much as I have Lovehammers, for sure.

This has been really interesting reading today... I haven't seen the show yet. I taped it as I get up at 3:20 am for work - okay, and I'm a brown noser Everyone seems kind of pissy this week. Maybe just disappointed in alot of things I don't know. My favorite this season has been Lucas - I am totally into an entertainer who can entertain... and THAT he does. I'm with the rest of you in that there's just not that much interest this year Let's face it.. all we really want is more of Marty Casey!!

Hi, I'm the one who likes to listen without watching the performances. With that it mind, I could never buy a CD by either Lukas or Dilana.
Here my 2 cents:
Patrice: Just go home already.
Ryan: There's much more to him then we are all aware of. I'd love to hear his own stuff on the piano. I think he's definitely a contender.
Storm: Great voice. She needs to be in the bottom three to get more exposure. I think last year's winner won 'cause he was in the bottom three a few times and INXS got to hear him do his Michael Hutchence impersonations.
Magni: I really like him. Has a great voice and seems to be very comfortable in his own shoes.
Dilana: She sounded better than the rehearsals. The eyelashes were distracting and she is sooooo boring me. Her voice is sooo limited.
Toby: He's so cute. Nice voice but not a front runner.
Lukas: This is my favorite song by the Killers and it started out sooo good, only to go back to his strained voice and his back to the audience. His little gimmick of fixing his hair in the guitar did redeem him for me though. He should listen to Jason to use his "instrument" and then maybe have a chance.
Encore: should be Ryan.
Bottom three: Patrice, Storm and should be Dilana but probably won't.

I just received an Email from Backstage Pass.com, advertising a presale to members for an upcoming RS: Supernova show at Radio City Music Hall in NYC on Wednesday, Jan. 31, 2007! Now, I don't actually watch the series, however, I DO catch the weekly highlights on msn.com/rockstar and am keeping my fingers crossed for either Dilana OR Magni to win! While Lukas certainly has "the look", his vocals hasn't impressed me as do the other two. I'm trying to see if my friends Chris and Bern ("longislandgirl") want to tag along. Tickets are $25/$40/$60/$85. OXO Lucy

Hey there, I was reading the recent posts today and was feeling very defensive for Storm. She is an excellent singer and has a presence for sure. I also was feeling the need to defend Ryan and on and on. What I do is read their blogs and as I mentioned a while back that i replay performances without watching to get the feel of what it will be like on the radio someday. I also checked out their former lives on Youtube.com and man oh man some of the Rockers will blow you away. Anyway I realized that I never needed to or had to do any of this last year with Marty. When he sang "Take me Out" I was hooked and "Creep" sealed the deal. THis year I haven't once replayed anyones performances for pleasure, but rather just to decide who performed the best.Pretty sad Huh?? I wish them all well, really but I won't be buying anyones CD more than likely , unless someone is seriously holding back and tonight WOWS me!! OUr house is for Ryan or Dilana Magni or Storm. Check em all out on youtube and some stuff will crack you up...but no nail biting here sorry to say. till then Jilly

well, i just finished watching tonight's show....and i have a new respect for magni and toby. i thought they both did awesome. it certainly was a no-brainer who to send packing tonight.
i was so happy to see them talk about the media interviews! dilana is going to have a hard time shaking this....her attitude has been so BAD....i think they were basically giving her a huge warning. let's see if she takes it. she even made bad-boy lukas look like a sweet goodie-2-shoes! LOL!
this thing is definitely going to get more and more difficult in the next 3 weeks. it'll be interesting to see who goes next time....

by the way, i thought SN's song was much better this week...although i can't remember the melody. (not good.) but i did enjoy it more than last week's song.
the funny thing is, last season i enjoyed every song marty did. even the one's i'd never heard before. he just seems to reach out and pull you into the tv with him or something. so riveting.....

well, i just finished watching tonight's show....and i have a new respect for magni and toby. i thought they both did awesome. Hear hear, gingin! Mangni killed it. Toby killed it. But it was Toby who surprised me. I expected Magni to do a great job on "Fire"; he's a very strong singer and a well-rounded musician/guitarist. Yet Toby ... while I liked him for this gig at the very beginning, he soon became underwhelming. But tonight was another story. When they showed those short clips from the studio, there was something that just seemed "right" about Toby's voice over that track. Then he gets tapped to perform the SN song! As for his "Plush," for me he edged out Magni tonight — because I think he delivered more all-around authentic performance power than Magni did. He thoroughly rocked. I've gotta say ... Toby's B3 song is the first time this year that anybody's performance left me a teensy bit short of breath. And grinning from ear to ear! Good job, mate With a band cranking out the brand of rock that SN seems to be about, I think they need to show people a good time or they're toast. And, for what it's worth, I think Toby definitely brought the good times tonight.

What - no encore? *sigh* I guess they just don't feel right giving it to Ryan every single time. I think Dilana is losing fans. C'mon everybody, hop on the Ryan train! Although Toby and Magni both rocked and I'm starting to really like both of them as well.

Okay... here's my review of the performances from last night: Toby - Loved it.. and I didn't just love it because he took off his shirt. He has an awesome voice & I loved how he went and sang near the other rockers and got the crowd involved. Very cool. Dilana - Boring. I don't like her all that much. Sure, she can sing. But whatever. Not my style. Lukas - GO HOME! And he better stop turning his back to the audience... its so frustrating! Ryan - WOOHOO! Love him. I loved his original song. He will be in the top 3. Patrice - Not a fan of hers at all. She can go home anytime now. Storm - I was a big Storm fan at the beginning but now I am just kinda bored of her. She does the same thing every week. The weird thing with her eyes and she's just so crazy. But I do give her props for singing "Crazy" That is a very difficult song to sing and she did do a pretty good job! But there was definately parts throughout the song where she really messed up. Magni - I think he thinks he's all that and a bag of chips. I don't like him. He does have a very good voice though. I just don't like his personality and how he acts on stage. He definately thinks he's Mr.Awesome... grrr.

Wow!!!! Tonight they were Very harsh on Dilana. I think shes cool and can rock it but It seemed surreal to me that she was singled out as the B*tch tonight as she said herself. I don't believe for one minute that she is the only one talking trash about the other rockers, she was dumb enough to get it on tape.I hope she backs off a little now and chills but to put her through the public lynching like that?? Ouch!! Dave Navarro could have come over to the house and talked to her one on one and said the same stuff and she more than likely would have received it better. I think it was harsh, I suspect that SN doesn't want her to win and are maybe sabotaging her votes?? I am so lost as to where they (SN) are headed or what the heck they want anymore. !?!? p/s don't forget to go to www.youtube.com and type in the names of your fav and scroll for all the fun pre Rockstar videos. night night Jilly

random (possibly snarky) thoughts on the elimination show: Why no encore? I would rather have heard ANY of yesterday's performances over that Hey Hey Ho Ho song. Whoever is handling lyric writing for SN needs to take a class, like English 101. Dilana. Dilana. Dilana. Boy was she sweating it. It wasn't bad enough that she was so nasty during the press interviews, but then she was nasty about Ryan's performances, too. It kinda remnded me of JD --like she wants to make herself stand out any way she can -- except that JD never screwed up with the press and to me was more entertaining performer. I actually thought Dave's comments to her were fair. He and TL really do make tabloid fodder ona regular basis and he knows what he's talking about. I still think she'll be in final 3. Lukas -- is he losing some drive/edge/fire? Remember how Jordis came out killing it every week then sort of faded? That's what Lukas reminds me of. I'd rather see the cock of the walk thing more. Magni -- great performance, i thought his best actually --he looked really comfortable. Toby -- love his sense of humor, like his voice, but not sure that he'll be there in the end. now that Patrice is gone it will actually get really interesting because everyone that's left has at, one point or another, been quite good and a "fave" (i use that term lightly) in my house. It'll be tough on Magni if he is bottom 3 again, tho. 3x is hard for SN to ignore.

Yeah, no encore? Lame. I thought Supernovas songs are so-so, but not breakout hits.
Dilana, I thought, had no class exposing the other rockers like that. I thought Lukas was classy, stating what he thought but refusing to name names. I have to say, however, that those reporters were way too obvious in their gossip fishing.
I was just starting to like Patrice, but the boys did do better. I really liked how Toby's voice sounded with the band.

I have lost alot of respect towards Dilana after seeing that episode. How disrespectful of her to say all that crap about the other rockers... grr.
I'm glad to see Patrice go. And I think SN song that Toby sang was pretty bad. Toby sang it great but I just think the song sucks....
