>:(GRRRR. Every year there are these damned solar flares that interfer with the satellite broadcast and wouldn't you know, the show kept cutting out today! Literally Brooke said, "The first rocker in the bottom 3 is" and then the picture froze! It didn't come back til Storm was halfway thru WYWH.
Like everyone else, i thought she must be nuts to sing it, but then we seem to be the only people who liked last year better. I was waiting for Dave to say, "I have never heard that song performed better --ever". I would have put a hole in my telelvision.
Dilana -- that SUCKED! I have no idea why SN were standing for her, but that sounded like another pity party to me. Really loathed it.
as soon as they said Magni was safe, I knew Storm was going. Man that sucked.
But we did get to hear Lukas do Head Spin again, and I really like it. He looked less like Flock of Seagulls meets Pirates of the Carribbean tonight, too. Glad he is still around cause he's fun to watch. He kind of makes me think, "this is what Joe Cocker would be like if he some goth in him."
BTW when they showed SN 'discussing' who to get rid of, I swear you can see Jason saying which order to get rid of Dilana. Got a feeling she might be next... or is that wishful thinking?

I will not be voting anymore. I am a sore loser. Dilana so needed to go home. She butchered Cheap Trick. I am so offended. Anyway I will live and tonights evictee will too. In a super big, large way. Hey WYWH was very touching by the way and I seriously doubt that were Marty watching it he would've said "oh my version of these songs are better, No one should touch the songs I sang" He would give major props to all the rockers for all the hard work they put out each week. Wheres the love???

Jilly, I thought Storm's rendition was touching...why, even Jason shed tears. Marty's rendition was different, his was intense. Storm's was poignant. And I love both!
Magni singing with SN: wow! I never thought Magni would sound good with SN even though I have a soft spot for him. But I thought he looked comfortable on stage with them and it looked right and this is actually the 1st SN song I like!

Tonight's show was fantastic. [glow=red,2,300]Go Magni and Toby!!!! [/glow]I thought the bottom three were spot on, and either Dilana or Storm should've gone, but it was really past time for Storm to leave.
At first I really, really liked Lukas. Now he's my #3 pick behind Magni and Toby.

Well, I am totally bummed that Storm was sent home. I thought she was the best "front person" of the group...always has a witty banter when she's on stage. And if they're all so quick to say they'd play on her album, why did they boot her off the show???
I also thought Dilana's performance sucked. She's been going down hill for the past several weeks...don't understand why they keep giving her free passes.
And I realize there's a big Lukas fan base out there, but how the heck do you guys understand him? I can't figure out anything he's singing!!! Even when he sings a song i know, i have trouble following along, because i can't understand a flippin' thing he says!
Well, my final pick is Toby for sure...he's hot, he can sing, he can write, has a great rapport with the audience, he's FUN!!!. Magni is my distant second. I like him, but he just doesn't have the energy on stage that Toby has. I'd actually pay to see Toby, but that's about it.
Anybody think they'll do another season of Rockstar after this?

let me back track and clarify my thoughts now that I am not so upset about Storm going. I contradicted myself when I said we shouldn't bash performances, right after I bashed Dilana. Sorry if that offended I didn't mean to. I am only sad about the constant comparisons to Marty's versions of songs. It apples and oranges it seems since these rockers are soooo diff. from last year. I think we can disagree agreeably thats all. Were all adults here and we have such varying taste in music that some times things come across as hurtful. I guess its easy to do that, I have and it was wrong of me to act like Storm is my sister or something. Gee I don't even know her. So anyway that said I put up the white flag peace Jilly

I am really sad to see Storm go. I wanted to see her again next week. She is a class act and a real performer. Last year Marty knocked my socks off. I didn't want him to win because I love his music. I feel like that about Storm too. So I didn't want her to get the job, but I would have loved for her to come in 2nd. I want Toby to win but, I'm afraid his getting the car this week is a subtle way of letting us know that he isn't getting the job. 1st place gets a car and giving him 2 would be silly. Still a girl can hope.

No way....really? First place gets a car? Oh crap...that doesnt' sound good for Toby. and they have been so nit-picky with Magni. What's up with them anyway?
Can someone tell me what the big draw is for Dilana and Lukas? I just don't understand. i'm not trying to be nasty or anything...i just don't get it.

I really thought Storm had it locked. I almost cried during her performance-I was totally gone with her. I really thought she had it when Dilana did Cheap Trick, and did it badly. She really doesn't come off well during elimination nights.
Lukas...wow. Just wow. I liked his song this time through better than I did last time. He was amazing. Not his best, but I really thought he and Storm were going to be the ones staying this time. How sad.

Wow, I honestly feel badly for even putting out "go home Storm" energy into the universe several weeks ago....that honor SO should have went to Dilana tonight. She was AWFUL! I haven't read anyone's posts yet...so I'm probably going to repeat stuff...but come ON. Dilana, singing Cheap Trick, was "punk"? I think that was pretty much her worst song performance of all...and she got to STAY. wow. Sorry Storm, I think, especially the last 2 weeks, you did not deserve to be in the bottom 3 or go home...but I'm sure the band will keep it's promise & back her up for her 1st single. Magni - although much more likeable for than the early days, I can't believe he was safe...shoulda been in the B3 this week, not Storm. I was glad for Lukas to have one time to go into the B3 just to show what he could do - that performance of Headspin was even better than yesterday! And Toby really rocked it - what an awesome thing to pay tribute to Steve Irwin...he really deserved the encore AND the car... Well if it hasn't been said yet, I heard the 3 runner-ups are going to be the singers & touring with the houseband, who is opening for SN along with Panic Channel...I'm kinda bored with that. It makes the show very A-Idol-y. Too bad they'll have to bring whiney Dilana in tow...nice crutches btw. *yawn*. Can she sell herself any more??? Yesterday it was an F You to her fans & today it was all about how she needs them?? Yuck. nighty night...

I don't know about Dilana, but I think Lukas has a ton of charisma and stage presence. You can't help but look at him move-he's so awkward and at the same time completely in control. He knows how to draw attention to himself with his hair and clothes, and then he can keep it there with his explosive personality. Dilana fans, care to comment?

Can someone tell me what the big draw is for Dilana and Lukas? I just don't understand. i'm not trying to be nasty or anything...i just don't get it. I will try to explain this as simply as I can. You know how some people like the classic paintings like Rembrandt and Renior and others prefer more modern art like Van Gogh and Dali.... well I have more modern art tastes. Lukas and Dilani are edgy and exciting and more outside of the box. Watching them is exciting. There is a certain style that is quirky and interesting. Even their voices have interesting textures to them. And their performances are usually intense and emotive. I especially love Lukas... when he is performing he is intense and wild...but off camera much calmer and laid back than you would think. He tends to think before he speaks and has a certain vulnerability in his eyes and his facial expressions. This contrast between on stage and off reminds me of a certain favorite rocker from last season.... Nearly every single rocker who has left the show this season when asked in interviews have across board said Lukas should get the gig. Everyone of them has great things to say about his voice, his stage presence and his talent. This was the case last year with Marty too. Marty got criticized by fans of other rockers that he screamed too much and didn't sing...and we all know that was just not true. I feel the same way about the fans of others rockers criticizing Lukas's singing style as I did about the ones who criticized Marty. Different strokes for different folks. My opinion is all the four left are really good. There isn't one left that I dislike as I did a finalist last year. So que sera, sera. The Rossi Posse line forms here.....

Thank you, for saying it much more eloquently than I ever could. Lukas does remind me of Marty, as well. I think people look too much at Lukas' hair, makeup, and clothes and write him off. I have dreadlocks and a nose ring-does this stop me from writing novels and poetry and loving Jane Austen? I play both sides-I'll weep at a well played piece of Mozart just as easily as I wept at Storm's performance tonight or Lukas' Creep. What I'm getting at is: Lukas and Dilana are very talented. Dilana has faltered in my eyes in her performances in the past few weeks, but I loved her at the beginning. This doesn't stop me from appreciating Magni or Toby or Storm for having a more traditional feel in their voices.

Hey guys, Elim show has just finished in OZ. Was rapt TOBY got the encore and paid dedication to Steve Irwin. I honestly was hoping Dilana would go home tonight, maybe next week. I am hoping the final 3 will be the boys as I have loved them all along as I did Ryan, but Ryan was definitely more suited to a solo career. I will definitely be waving he Aussie flag and cheering for TOBY to win next week but good luck to all the finalists. Cheers, Helen

My comments on last night's show: Magni should've been in the bottom 3 instead of Storm. Storm's performance of WYWH was really good. It's a moving song and it moves me whenever it is performed well. Nothing can compare to Marty's performance. But hearing a female take on it was interesting and moving just the same. Dilana was HORRIBLE. She should've went home but over the course of the season, she has drawn more fans, votes and accolades from SN. I think they looked at the big picture and let her stay based upon that. Lukas' performance was better than the night before. I enjoyed it. He is very engaging. I just wish he'd develop a little stronger voice. Then he'd have the whole package in my eyes. Magni's performance with SN was good. It was actually a good song! However, I still think Magni is fairly forgettable compared to the others. Toby rocked again and is sooooo roit for SN!

It's a relief that Magni wasn't in the bottom 3....as CHK said earlier we in Asia have to pay to vote...I was voting like mad for Toby and Magni yesterday until my cellphone's battery went flat... Now that I have seen how good Toby and Lukas can get (Lukas' Head Spin really moved me even though I didn't get most of what he sang)...kind of hope they stay with their own bands like Marty & the Lovehammers! Let SN have Dilana as their lead singer!

Hey Cindy and Fly, Thanks for explaining the Lukas thing to me. I totally get where you are coming from, as it used to really irk me last year when people would knock Marty's talent. They just couldn't see it. So I respect what you're saying about Lukas.
Anyway, the last two shows should be REALLY interesting! Hopefully, we'll get to see more of all these guys in the future! GinGin
